First class hotel

Pros: Location, cleanliness, history
We really enjoyed our five nights at The Imperial. We were in one of the older rooms in the main building. The room was very comfortable - slippers, robes, big bathroom, beautifully pristine luxury bedding. Lovely after our tour round some less salubrious parts of India. A special treat for us. Hotel is also near metro and lots of shops and Connaught Square. My only big criticism would be that when we arrived, quite late on the first day, there was a limited choice of dining. We had a very expensive and not very good meal in a dismal dining room. We prefer the buffet option when dining as it is a way of finding something we like to eat. The next day we enquired if there was to be an evening buffet and were told not, so we went out for dinner. When we returned we found that there had been a dinner buffet. After that, there were only lunch buffets. But, overall, a memorable few days.

年末に二泊しました。 部屋の装飾のみならず、ホテル全体の歴史感が期待していた以上のものであり、感動した。 ゆったりとホテルでもっと滞在していたかった。観光の予定を入れずにホテル内で過ごすべきだった。

Beautiful hotel of colonial era

Pros: The staff,the rooms,the bed and the sparkling cleanliness every where I went
Cons: Nothing at all,as far as I could see,but I did not experience eating/drinking in the hotel.
Location: The location was fine and in one of the the posher areas of Delhi. Do arrange a driver and although difficult,dont succumb to the multitude of beggars
Sadly I had little opportunity to enjoy the hotel facilities,other than the room. My positive vibes about the Imperial started at the airport. The company I was visiting,had arrange a driver to pick me up,but on arrival,he could not be found. The Imperial rep at the airport went the extra mile for me and found him. Upon checking in,the check in staff were so pleasant and the room,absolutely spectacular,equipped with all the extras,one could possibly ever wish for. I love this 'olde worlde' style of hotel and the staff were brilliant,pleasant and efficient. I called for an ironing board upon arrival,which was at my door,almost before i had time to close it. I will definitely return and this time,try and enjoy all the facilities.

5-star luxury in a colonial setting

The Imperial is a wonderful hotel, from the moment we arrived we felt like Kings in India. The exterior of the hotel is plain but this is more then compensated inside: The interiors convince with marble floors and colonial style furniture and decor. The corridors are filled with ornaments, photos and memorabilia. Fresh flowers abound across the entire hotel and, as if that was not enough, public areas are being scented with a lovely fragrance. We had dinner in two of their restaurants which delivered great food but at a price – after all this is a five star hotel. The pool is very large (probably 25x25m or so) and beautifully designed. The location of the hotel is also great as the Central Cottage Industries Emporium is just across the street and Connaught Place with its shops and underground station just a 5-10min walk away. This hotel definitely gives you the impression of luxury and it is worth planning some extra time just to be there.

Très bel hotel art déco, magnifiquement décoré. Personnel très prévenant Petit dej superlatif ! Restaurant Spice Route, classé l'un des 10 meilleurs du monde, absolument délicieux pour un tarif tout à fait raisonnable (<100€/pers) Seul bémol : wifi payant et cher (10€/jour) ce qui, vu le tarif des chambres, nous a semblé un peu mesquin.
