The staff are amazing and I would return again and again. Ask for a room away from the construction work.

My wife and I have never more enjoyed a stay in a hotel as we did at the Imperial. The architecture, the food, the quality of service, the friendliness of the hotel personnel were all exceptional. We have every plan to stay at the Imperial again when we next visit Delhi.

A Hotel with character

Pros: Beautiful, tasteful Interior design
Cons: The manager that dealt with me needs training in customer care and Diplomacy
Location: Very good location opposite the Emporium and great place to shop
I have stayed twice at The Imperial, and enjoyed my initial stay but was very disappointed on my second stay, perhaps I shouldn't focus too much on a singular aspect but it did rather sour my experience. Having checked on my first stay that breakfast was included and read in the hotel literature that breakfast was included for all guests I didn't think to ask on my second visit, having arrived late due to a delayed train and used in total nine different hotels in three weeks I hadn't read each booking in detail. On my second morning after finishing my breakfast I was presented with a bill which was a surprise! On checking out I had been charged for four breakfasts. It is the hotel policy to have you sign immediately after you have completed anything that needs additional payment, so I felt it was very bad form billing us. I felt that as I had spent so much money at the hotel they should have as least for good customer relations let me off with paying half as there was obviously some confusion. Bad public relations which did spoil my stay some what. I noticed a lot of people checking their bills in some detail.

Disappointment pure

I have never been treated as bad as this stay * my parents stayed we know the owner and still no respect.. early check in Trouble - late check out Trouble - Concierge not reliable - rooms very small and small Windows - better stay in a LHW Hotel there you get the rewards ***

A Hotel and a Museum

It is true that the greeting on arrival 'Welcome Home' tempts you to say 'Excuse me? I've never been here before.', but if you abstract from this rather odd habit, the hotel is just impressive. The rooms, the halls with photographs and paintings EVERYWHERE, the staff, the food, the restaurants .......... everything!! I urge you to visit. A special hotel.

Elegant and historic hotel

Pros: Traditional style and elegance. Wonderful art collection bedecked interior. A cool and tranquil oasis in New Delhi.
Refined and classy, a beautiful hotel experience. Would not hesitate to recommend and would definitely stay again. Didn't get to use the spa, but the pool was wonderful.
