Over priced and out of datePosted Sep 24, 2013
Pros: The Japanese restaurant.
Cons: The ventilation in the rooms so they are not damp and musty.
The hotel tries hard, but the rooms are musty, damp, and smell of mildew. The services are way overpriced ($150 US laundry bill for a dozen articles). The decor was nice once, but wallpaper is peeling and dirty, stone details are chipped, and carpets are worn. The staff is very formal and completely inflexible. It wasn't an unpleasant stay, but it wasn't one I'd try and repeat.

Sneaky StaffPosted Sep 24, 2013
Cons: Staff should cater to the guest, not trick them into making more money.
Location: Centrally located
Booked a night here for a night and they found some technicality to make me pay for a second person for the room I booked entitled: Double Room. The travel desk fed me lies so I would hire one of their taxis to Agra rather than book a train.

Excellent hotel for the pricePosted Aug 19, 2013
Pros: The Japanese restaurant was excellent--the food overall in all three restaurants was very good.
Location: Reasonably central location; well-known hotel so plenty of taxis/rickshaws available.
Fairly centrally located in New Delhi, the hotel had good food offerings, an excellent breakfast buffet, clean rooms, and very good customer service. We received a good rate and thought it was well worth the money. Clean, quiet, and made a good home base for roving around the city. Front desk staff was helpful with making change and other minor requests like ordering extra bottles of water. Good for business or leisure travelers.

Very good clean hotel, delicious food at onsite restaurants including breakfast. Friendly staff. Swimming pool was much appreciated in hot weather. Central location, 20 minute walk to Connaught Place. Overall very good value for money.

Nicely furnished...Posted Aug 17, 2013 on Hotels.com
It is a well furnished and maintained. Location wasn't the best as the streets felt lonely in the nights and walking from CP at nights didn't feel comfortable from safety point of view. Bathrooms are transparent and bit inconviniewnt staying with kids.

Excellent place to stayPosted Aug 17, 2013 on Hotels.com
Close enough to Connaught Place, just watch out for the rickshaw drivers outside who want to bring you to their own "tour offices" or to the "best shops". Just be sure about where you want to go! Room itself is fantastic and extremely comfortable. Friendly staff, however the travel desk wasn't as informative as I would have hoped.

A solid hotel a little overpriced, but very nicePosted Aug 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
The metropolitan hotel was really nice. It was a great place to land for the first day of my first trip to India. The land was so new it was a good place to have to western familiarity, so we could adjust slowly to the new environment. Plus it was pretty posh, on par with something considerably more costly than I would normally pay for in the states. Service was great, everything was great. All this being said, it may not be the best deal as far as luxury hotels in Delhi. On top of the price marked, they charged for EVERYTHING. WiFi? yep. Computers in the Business center? yep. Breakfast? Yep. Local phone calls? Yep. Airport pickup and dropoff at a premium? Yep. Setting up a trip around town? Yep. And food there was very costly, more than some of the fanciest restaurants in town. Now this may not be different than others in its class, but I got the sense that it may be. They did throw in free breakfast buffet and wifi for the 2 additional days we renewed with them, but I think that is because I didn't negotiate hard to reduce the price for a longer stay. Anyway, great hotel, just keep an eye on the fees, and maybe consider one that costs just a little more, if it includes a little more.

Nice hotel to stay in CP. there was no complementary tea or coffee in room that was a bit surprise to me.
