“okkkkkk”
The hotel needs a major clean up or a facelift the reception desk check in staff need to be more friendly. The staff checked us in and did not tell us what to do where to go we were still at the desk and he went around us and started to check in another guest. other than the front desk all the other staff were very friendly.
“Will Not Return”
The Rooms were poorly cleaned (dingy looking towels and bedsheets unchanged for newly arriving guests). The best that could be said regarding this hotel is that its complimentary breakfasts were impressive. The staff within the breakfast area was effecient and professional. The rest of the staff it seemed were expecting a tip everytime you asked a question or requested routine services. Will not return or recommend this hotel to fellow travellers. The area around the hotel is undesirable and the streets are overflowing with people constantly surrounding tourists solicting their wares or guide services. Tip: Delhi taxi drivers are rip-off artists. Please negotiate the price before stepping into the taxi.
“Fun, comfortable and hip”
This is a fun, dynamic hotel that is superbly located in Connaught Place. Great shopping and restaurants surround the hotel. The rooms were a bit small, but this is expected for a design hotel. In fact, they were much larger than the design hotels in New York City and London that I'm familiar with. The staff of the hotel was amazing- kind and helpful. I felt that when I asked for something, they provided it because they truly wanted to help me; not just because they wanted a tip (as is so common in all US hotels, and becoming increasingly common around the world). The pool bar Aqua was a great scene- we went there every evening. My only complaint is that we had a room right above the disco, and it was so loud Saturday night that I couldn't sleep at all. Had I not had a plane to catch early Sunday morning I wouldn't have minded a bit- I would have gone downstairs and joined in the fun. I should also note that the hotel staff did provide earplugs beforehand.
“Great service, great comfort, overpriced food”
The Park Hotel in Delhi is really pretty great on all counts: Comfort, design, quality of food. The location near CP and across from the Jantar Mantar is good. Noise from the nightclub is certainly noticeable, even 5 flights up, but at least in my experience not overwhelming--especially if you are used to the general level of Indian city noise or, in my case, coming from New York and constant street noise. It's certainly expensive by Indian standards, but if this level of service were in any European or US city you'd be paying far more per night. My only negative comment is that though the food is excellent (truly), it would be expensive even for a similar restaurant in New York. Eating at most of the top Indian restaurants in Manhattan is less expensive. If you're staying at the Park for more than a night, eat there once for the outstanding experience and decor, but then head elsewhere for more reasonable prices.
“The Park(bench) in Delhi”
When I arrived at the hotel I had to pass through a metal detector, the alarm went off but it did not matter :). The reception was a mess and in panic mode. The room was filthy and the remote was sticky and the whole environment was not dirty. I travel much in Asia and I am used to lower standards - I am not spoiled... The drinks and food are way too expensive ($7 for a beer at the "pool bar) and the nightclub is blasting rap and techno until the early morning hours - well to hear in your room - good news if you like rap. Last time I was there and the last time that I picked an Expedia recommendation - this was the second hotel that was recommended by Expedia. The first one was in Phoenix - I moved out after one night. Ahh - one more thing - the SPA ... don't try!
“staying in New Dehi”
satisfying
“Hotel was clean and in a very central location”
After reading some average reviews on the hotel I was close to changing hotels but had to say was very satisfied with the hotel. Highlight would have to be on Sunday around the pool bar where the hotel had free beer and drinks all afternoon. Staff always pleasant and helpful, on one morning when i was leaving very early on a trip they even packed a fantastic breakfast to take due to leaving before the buffet.
“The Park New Delhi”
Good location in the city but Not a great place to stay in Delhi.
“good location”
My stay was great. Except for a dancing house besides hotel, that maked a lot of noise all night.
“LOVED the Park Hotel”
We loved the Park Hotel! It was heaven after staying at the YMCA down the street. Rooms are very comfy and the staff is awesome. Loved Agni and Aqua and the restaurant Fire has great food. Can't wait to go back!
