Deming New Mexico Comfort Inn

Pros: The facility was excellent.
Cons: Better training for the staff.
Location: We walked down to the old Grand Hotel and went to the bar. We talked to some really interesting locals.
The room was excellent and all the facilities were in great condition. We did have a problem when we checked in. I told the young lady at the desk that we had pre paid by expedia and not to charge our card again. She charged us again, thankfully my wife caught it in time. I had to go talk to the manager and she took the charge off. They need to educate their staff how to handle expedia customers. I will be more careful about letting the desk clerk take my card in the future. Other wise the facilities were excellent.

Water was leftover on/in the coffee pot and the pool was quite murky which was disappointing. The two customer service reps ( the young man's name was Adrian I think and the young lady was new, I can't recall her name ) were great ... very nice customer service.

Deming NM is conveniently located midway between San Antonio, TX and Los Angeles, CA where our travels took us. We stayed at this hotel on our return trip from TX to CA. The room was a bit small for our family of four and two dogs and they don't have a grassy area to walk dogs. Other than that we were very pleased with the accomodations. The beds were comfortable and the included breakfast was excellent. They had better variety than the hotel in Deming where we stayed on the way from CA to TX. The breakfast included eggs (scrambled and hard boiled), sausage, biscuits, gravy, waffles, oatmeal, yogurt, and fruit, to name a few of the items. Because of the better breakfast, I rate this hotel slightly better than the hotel in Deming where we stayed on the way from CA to TX. I am glad that we gave this one a try because the other one was acceptable too.

Cute little town

Stopped on our way cross country. I love the beds and pillows. Nice heated, indoor pool and sauna. Great breakfast with seasonal pumpkin waffles along with the usual fare of cereal, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy. Will look for again on our way back east.

We were unable to make the trip to Deming because of family illness, and had to cancel our reservations. We have stayed on previous trips at this hotel, and found the accommodations completely adequate. We will stay at this hotel whenever we make the trip next time.
