Peaceful, remote, self-sustainablePosted Apr 22, 2014
Enjoyed the peaceful & remote location...comfortable, warm and rural feel on a working farm. Roger is a helpful host & good cook. Breakfasts were great...superb fuel for climbing Snowden & mountain biking! Loved the self sustaining ethos... So nice to have meals that were sourced on site!

Pros: More like staying in a family home than a 'hotel'
Location: isolated, but easy access to betws y coed, Snowdonia and coast, plenty of walks in the area.
Peaceful and pleasantly isolated! Friendly welcome, excellent breakfast and supper. wood fire heating very efficient and great to curl up with a book by the fire!

Historical old farmhouse in N WalesPosted Aug 20, 2012
Pros: Historical background/great food/v comfortable and clean.
Location: Remote but beautiful -if sun shines!!
Arrived late-v good directions given-hotel is rather remote. V old building-pleasingly restored.-part of working farm but no unpleasant smells encountered!! Hosts were graciously welcoming. Bedroom huge-v comfortable-lovely old bathroom-but has modern amenities. We had evening meal both nights we stayed as Roger's cooking was excellent.(with use of fresh farm produce) Good breakfast-overall good hotel -we can recommend.
