Hotels for me are generally a place to sleep and a base for exploring the area. In these two regards Ozbay proved to be excellent...clean spacious rooms, comfortable beds and a good, hot water shower. Probably the best value in the area...I definitely look forward to returning.

Pamukkale - only need one night...Posted Aug 23, 2010
We got what we expected for the money. Very inexpensive. The room was clean but felt a lot like church camp with platform beds and no shower curtain in the bathroom. The most important thing beyond cleanliness was air conditioning. Spend a few nights in Turkey during July and August and you will understand what I am saying. We were so glad for the air conditioning that nothing else really mattered. We ate there for dinner and the food was good. Pamukkale is limited when it comes to hotel options but I'm sure there are more modern hotels available for more money. For one night I was not concerned. The location is wonderful, almost right across from the travertines. Made it very easy to visit the site. An overnight is recommended so you can see the sun setting on the travertines. When I was there a Turkish bride and groom were being photographed at the pools. The travertines are just as beautiful in the day time and the ruins nearby take only a short time to visit. The ancient theatre is in very good condition. Got some fantastic pictures.
