“disappointed...”

I booked this for my husband's bday for the 4th of July. Sounds great...looks great until u get past the remodeled lobby. They are being renovated but still haven't gotten too far. The rooms have a musty smell to say the least. Clean but very dated with wood paneling and drop ceilings, no vent in bathroom, old cracked tiles and bugs. Only plus was the beachfront location and private balcony to watch the waves. Nice area and nice grounds...so if u plan on not being inside the room much than it's worth it. Cafe had good food.

“Looking forward to seeing the completed renovations”

Overall good--excellent location (kept the door open all night to hear the crash of the surf!). As we arrived in the off-season, the hotel was starting some much-needed renovations--we plan on coming back to see the results next year. Good value.

“A Run Down Dump On The Beach”

We paid enough for a room right on the water for two nights. The hotel and the rooms are extremely run down and outdated. As a couple it wasn't the best having two double beds instead of a king or a queen. It was nice over looking the ocean but the beach isn't the nicest due to tons of sea weed. When we checked in I ask the nice man at the front desk if check was at 11 and he said 11 or 11:15. When I checked out at 11:15 (I didn't rush becasue of what the man said at check in) the lady at the front desk wanted to charge me fifty dollars for a late check out. I wouldn't stay here again, s many nicer places at cheaper prices.

“Hole in the door, major construction, and no water in the morning!”

My friend and I stayed here last week to spend the day at the beach. The location is great since it is right on the beach, but the room was pretty interesting. There was a baseball sized hole in the door to the bathroom and cracks in the tile. We were on the first floor and right outside our window was where they are making renovations to the building in front of us, in which I was woken up at 7am to banging and whatnot. THERE WAS NO WATER IN THE MORNING! When I asked the front desk about it, they said that they were conducting tests on their water and that they left us a message on our machine in the room the night before. We were unable to retrieve the message and there were no notes or signs anywhere letting guests know about this. They didn't even give us a free meal or discount for this HUGE inconvenience. They looked at me like I had 5 heads when I asked to be compensated somewhat for not having any running water. This place has awful customer service, awful old rooms, and a great location. After the renovations are done it should be better, but they need to train their employees better and have a better plan for maintenance and how to let their guests know ahead of time.

“we won't go back”

if you don't mind staying at an old grungy motel, this place is it. it is right on the beach, it has a nice big indoor pool and a hot tub, they give you plenty of clean towels and the staff and fellow travelers are all very nice, but it is not by all means a clean updated comfortable motel. we have a baby who is still crawling and could not let the baby crawl on the floor in our room. the bathroom is kind of gross and we were skived out the whole time we were there. we won't recommend it to anyone and won't go back there, either. i wish we paid another $100 a night and be comfortable than saved the money and be grossed out the whole time.

“Old rooms, nice location.”

This hotel offers an amazing private beach for guests. The quality of the beach is great, white sand, warm ocean. The rooms however, are extremely dated, there is a strong musty smell therefore i recomend bringing a candle to mask the smell. The beds and linens are all old, mine had holes in them, and there was sand on the sheets when i arrived. This hotel is a great place to stay if you are looking for a beach vacation, as long as you dont have to spend alot of time in your room, it is a good choice.
