not like the pictures

Posted Nov 20, 2014
Location: very hard to get to, crazy intersection.
The hotel staff comes in at 4 am, talking, banging doors, they woke us up every morning. When the heat came on, it was cold air for the first two minutes and than heat. Cleaning staff left some of their products in our room, the towels are thin.

pictures are deceiving from website

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything needs improved.
Location: Right next to the interstate that's about it.
The first night there the toilet had stains on it and so did the bed skirt. The room smelled like dirty feet and musty water. Hotel staff woke us up the first morning at 7:30 talking loudly in the hallway. The walls are so thin that you can hear everything from every room around. The hot tub they advertise is in the bathroom so you can't do anything but sit in the hot tub and stare at the wall. It's a little awkward taking a shower in the hot tub that you wanna sit in and relax. Free breakfast is by far the worst continental breakfast I have ever seen. Breaker kept getting popped so my wife had to keep finding hotel staff to reset the outlet so she could finish her waffle. I will never stay at a Baymont inn and suites again.

Convenient location

Posted Nov 9, 2014
Pros: The hotel is close to where my son lives so it is very convent for me.
Cons: Being able to keep hotel guests a bit more quiet!
Location: I visit often and am always discovering things to do. The open spaces and parks in the area are wonderful.
Hotel staff was very friendly and courteous! My only complaint was with some of the hotel guests that were there. They were loud and kept the kitchen hostess busy!

Nice hotel; close to Colorado School of Mines.

We needed a close place to stay for a night while visiting the college. This worked out well. There are a few restaurants close with a Lone Star right off the same parking lot, so no walking for us. The room was clean and well-kept and quite roomy, which was nice. I would definitely stay here again.

Enjoyed our four day stay here.

Good location for Red Rocks events and Golden. Be sure and visit the neighboring Simm's Steak House. Great food and views at night. My only complaint would be the horrible pillows. Nice staff, better than average breakfast. I would stay here again.

Close but not a great experience

Posted Sep 27, 2014
Pros: The staff was always willing to help. The location was PERFECT for an easy drive to and from Golden.
Cons: IT NEEDS A REMODEL
Location: There are restaurants nearby.
On the surface this hotel has all the things I look for: free WIFI, free parking, and complimentary breakfast. And all of those elements were fine. The disappointing part was how old and worn out the hotel appeared. My room was at the extreme back of the hotel by the dumpsters. The rear entry door, which is supposed to auto-lock as a guest safety feature, does not work. There is an old RV parked in the back and it appears people are living in it. I was on the ground floor and never felt like I could open my curtains because my room looked out on the parking lot. My drapes wouldn't stay closed so I got paper clips from the front desk to make it work. I was there 3-days and EVERY day my card key failed to work!!!! It was a long walk down to the lobby and back - pain in the rear. The "coverlet?" (not sure what the decorative thing on the bed is called) had stains on it. There were also stains on the wallpaper under the window. Get the drift? I coulda, woulda, shoulda paid more for a known entity.

Get what you paid for

Pros: the location to the mall
Cons: hire more housekeeping staff
the hotel is not very clean and the check in time is very late (3 pm) as I thinks they are short in housekeeping staff. I the management of the hotel is bad and they need to buy new towels as the current one is clean but you can see the stains spots.

Very Nice King Bed and a good value overall.

Posted Sep 9, 2014
Pros: Bed and shower are very good. That goes a long way.
The hotel is on the Hwy 6 frontage road. My room was on the (North) parking lot side facing the adjacent Quality Inn, and was very quiet - no road noise at all. The South side facing the Hwy might be more noisy. The King bed was super comfy. Check-in and check-out was quick. There is an indoor pool and fitness area I did not have time to use, but looked adequate. Included breakfast was adequate, all you need really to start your day. There is a computer and printer to do boarding passes. This is a good option if the location is suitable. Access to some major roads is excellent.

Decent hotel

Posted Sep 9, 2014
Nice staff, rooms were a good size. As clean as it could be but kind of run down. Bathroom had mold and mildew, toilet was ugly, shower curtain was slimy and also had mold spots on bottom. Also instead of 2 regular pillows there was 3 mini pillows on each bed...weird? Close enough for an under $30 cab ride to red rocks. Would stay at again but would hope for a less beat up room.
