"Everything but the mattress"
The hotel is beautiful. I fully recommend reading the online pamphlet they have on the history of the hotel. Original marble, chandeliers and flooring- it's awesome. The staff are exceptionally helpful. The fitness area is one of the best I've seen in a hotel. My room was very clean and cozy and the bathtub was HUGE! My only complaint is the mattress. I feel like they could be updated to something with a pillow too because it was a little stiff.

Holiday Chalet Victorian - Bed & Breakfast

"Charming old B&B in good location"
We selected the hotel because of the location, and were very pleased with our choice. The manager/caretaker Scott, who was the jack of all trades at the hotel, was full of great advice about how to enjoy our visit to Denver. He cooked us a wonderful breakfast and really made us feel welcomed. The hotel has been redecorated in Victorian style, lots of pink and roses. Underneath the new decorations, the facility is a bit old and careworn, creaky furniture and such, but that adds to its charm. The bed was very comfortable; our room spacious and the bathroom updated and modern. The downside is some homeless people hang around outside (this is Colfax street in downtown Denver and they are a fact of life) and that can be intimidating, but they were harmless and friendly.

"This is always where I stay in Golden"
The Silk Pincushion is my home away from home. With my son at CO School of Mines, I'm here a lot. Judy and Dennis, the owners, are like personal friends. They are very accommodating, and I'm always comfortable. Wouldn't stay anywhere else.

"Perfect central location for furniture shopping"
Christian at the front desk was very attentive to our needs. He made us feel at home. We appreciated the note on the headboard that the duvet cover and sheets were freshly laundered. One never knows when the bedspread/duvet cover was last washed in a hotel. We appreciated the hot breakfast in the morning and that coffee was available at all times. Loved the afternoon cookies as well. This hotel has a beautiful view of the downtown Denver skyscape from the parking lot. We had a wonderful stay. We will definitely stay here again.

"Ask for higher floors"
Our stay was EXCELLENT in every way but one. The first night the 3rd floor level had street noise and partying people outside which woke us up and did not end until after 2:30am. We were exhausted. Considering what we paid for the room that was the last thing we should have felt. New windows are needed to resolve that issue. The Hotel was great and moved us to the 8th floor and that allowed us to finally feel the luxury we had come to experience.
