comfortable clean hotel, excellent value for money

Posted May 14, 2015
Pros: The hotel staff were very caring and happy to help in any way they could to make your stay a comfortable one
Cons: There were unfortunately no safety deposit boxes in the rooms although it was possible to lock valuables in the hotel safe if you chose to do so.
Location: Approximately 30 miles from Denver airport. Just off the main highway Approximately 10 miles from Red Rocks Canyon and surrounding beauty spots.
Rooms were comfortable, there was a small indoor pool and hot tub, laundry facilities, free "Wi-Fi" and a complimentary breakfast and adequate parking. There was a restaurant in easy walking distance which served food and alcohol from 11am -2am everyday. The hotel staff were very pleasant and extremely helpful

Full disclosure would have been nice

Posted Apr 11, 2015
Pros: Big rooms, 2 double beds, sitting area, fridge and microwave.
Cons: Under normal conditions, it would have been great.
Location: Downtown Belmar is great. Definitely wander away from the hotel location (though it's great ... right off the highway).
The hotel itself was great .. great location, nice staff, good choices for breakfast, etc. Unfortunately, the hotel experienced a small fire (in the pool heater) the day we arrived. AFTER I had checked in, the front desk clerk told me about the fire and that as a result, the internet was "choppy" and the pool would be closed until the next day, I explained that we were really looking forward to the pool (indoor pool/hot tub was one of the main reasons for choosing this hotel). I was told that it would be open by the following night. As we brought our bags in, it was, "oh, by the way, the elevators don't work because of the fire." No problem ... we carried our bags upstairs. We went out for the afternoon, and returned looking forward to showering before going out for dinner. No hot water. I called the front desk and was told that there wouldn't be hot water until THE NEXT AFTERNOON because of the fire. Ultimately, we had to go shower less that day and starting off the next, had spotty internet access, and the pool ultimately was not available for the duration of our trip. I know that the hotel could not have predicted the inconveniences of the fire, but it would have been nice to have had full disclosure BEFORE checking in. Perhaps the most disappointing part is not once were we offered "compensation" for the inconvenience (maybe tried to make arrangements with another nearby hotel for pool/showering, etc.).

Sheets where dirty stains everywhere, they had no hot water for a day and a half and the pool motor caught on fire so pool was closed and so was the fitness! Terribpe experience on this hotel!

Three very pleasant days!!!

Posted Mar 31, 2015
We checked in Friday evening and stayed until Monday morning. After we had driven 550 miles , it was a very pleasant surprise to have such a lovely room with so many extras. Breakfast was served every morning and had a very large variety of items to choose from. All in all it was a very nice stay..

Great place to stay

Posted Mar 27, 2015
Pros: everything - room was huge and had been renovated sometime recently. Excellent price. The breakfast was great too!
Cons: Nothing
Location: Perfect location to hit tourist spots in the mountains going South and West. Old Chicago Pizza place was awesome and 100 feet away..
excellent stay - 3 days - room was very nice - clean and super for the discounted price. Pool was being renovated and our room was across the hall so we were concerned about that but it was no problem. Shower head needed replaced and they did so right away! room appears like new. I usually only do Hamptons or Marriots and this was as good if not better than some..

Would have been nice to know

Posted Mar 26, 2015
Pros: The room was very nice. It was clean and well cared for, and everything worked. We even got to find out that the smoke alarms work!
Cons: Keep the website updated with announcements regarding renovations and other work being done!
Location: The location was ok. It was only a 20-30 minute drive to our events.
When we arrived at our hotel, we were informed that the hotel pool/hot tub was closed due to renovations. I specifically looked online for a hotel that had an indoor pool. They said that if we would have called to make a reservation, they would have told us then. Well, this is a national hotel chain. Why, in 2015 when most people book online rather than via phone, aren't they able to update their website to reflect this information? When we had a break in our itinerary, we went back to the hotel to relax only to find that the wi fi and cable TV were out. They had people working on that. In the midst of that, all of the smoke detectors in the place started wailing. Apparently the cable company tripped a wire. Not OK. We quickly found somewhere else to go relax during our downtime.

Denver Trip

Posted Mar 23, 2015
Booked this Hotel mainly due to location and having a pool for kids. Arrived and was informed pool was closed and had been for 3 weeks, was told due to booking thru expedia they could make no adjustments to rate although the Hotel had informed Expedia several times about pool. requested main floor room, was told expedia booked a second floor room. Laundry facilities on site did not work-neither washer or dryer, front desk said had been that way for last 6 months. Room above us bounced basketball until 3 am despite calls to front desk. Extremely warm day when we arrived, AC unit in room never did cool room to comfortable temp, ended up opening window to make it bearable for sleep. Breakfast was standard complementary continental breakfast but attendendant was surly both mornings. Shower had very little water pressure.
