“Very satisfied”
Excellent front desk service
“CLEAN HOTEL”
My business meeting is nearby always, so we stay here quite often. Good, basic hotel. Considering the location, not a family vacation kind of place, but for travelers on business, this will do very well. Breakfast is very convenient, and I love the omelet choices there. This time, bananas were black-spotted and sad looking, but usually good fruit selection also. The young lady who serves there is always lovely and happy--wonderful person to be greeted by first thing in the morning! Bedding is fresh and clean, different pillow thickness available. The heating/cooling unit is a bit noisy, although it didn't bother me a bit. The only walking-distance restaurant is Bono Italian. Nice food there, but I wish there were more choices. If you are driving, this wouldn't be an issue. Coming from the freeway, finding the way into this hotel was a bit tricky. Overall, I like staying here. There are never any kids running around...just a kind of adult place you need when you are traveling on business ; )
“Good Clean Place to Stay”
We stayed and were very satisfied with our room and the hotel. It was a pain finding the hotel. Our GPS sent us somewhere else. The only thing we weren't thrilled with was the breakfast buffet. We knew it wasn't a complimentary breakfast, so it wasn't a surprise about the price. There are two types: the breads/fruit/oatmeal for $5.95, which I got and was good; and the full buffet for $8.95, which my husband got. He said the eggs were cold and so was the syrup for the pancakes. The server was very nice and attentive. If you did not want to eat there, there isn't anything within walking distance. Having said that, we got the room for a good price and was worth not having a complimentary breakfast.
“Convenient location in Golden area”
Location is good at a major intersection and nearby access to I-70 and US-6. There is a large shopping mall across US-6 to the north and you have to drive to get there. There's a Target where I went to get snacks and beverages. Many restaurants across the parking lot north of the mall. Didn't try any of them though. My GPS listed a Wendy's near the mall though I never found it. I called and the staff could not tell me how to get there!! This hotel is older than two others I stayed at in the Denver area so the interiors are a little dated but still very comfortable. Breakfast buffet is $10 and has the usual hot and cold items. You can have a Continental breakfast at a reduced price. Reception staff is very helpful and polite. The house keeping staff comes round rather early to make up your room. They knocked on my door at 8;20 am. They came round the same time the next morning when I was due to check out. Not sure why they wanted to make up the room since I was leaving. For those on extended trips, there are laundry facilities on 2nd floor. Had a pleasant stay and will consider staying here again if I have to be in the Golden area.
“Very nice place to stay”
I was in and out for one day - but hotel was convenient to I-70. My room was clean and well maintained. Hotel staff were pleasant - and parking was near to entrance.
“No Basic Amenities”
While the hotel itself was in great shape and the staff were wonderful, it was right next to a major CO highway and construction, so it was very loud. I had a balcony, but couldn't open the door because of all the noise. There were no vending machines and there weren't any gas stations nearby, so you either need to buy from the hotel's little convenience store or bring your own food. Breakfast was $8.95 - no complimentary service was available. Cute hotel, but the lack of basic conveniences that are available at pretty much every other hotel wasn't worth it.
“Very Good”
the hotel was exactly what you would expect from Courtyard (a Marriott company) - clean, comfortable room, friendly and competent service and overall satisfaction at very reasonable price. It is a bit out of the way from downtown, so if that's where you want to be, you may be better off somewhere else. But if you take route 6 into town, it's quick and less crowded than I-70. The neighborhood is not much to speak of. Did not try the food, although they do have $8 breakfast. There is coffee in the lobby all the time. Workout room satisfactory, pool small, but indoors and there is a hot tub. Overall very nice, particularly if you want to be close to Golden (as we did).
“Other Hotels in Area Taht Looked Better For Less”
For the rates charged I expected at least real glasses in room. Room was a bit small and sink area extremely small.
“Comfy beds”
My daughter and I stayed here for two nights while enjoying a weekend full of Denver activites. The entry/access to this hotel would have been been hard to find if I wasn't familiar with Denver. The beds were very comforatble with nice black-out curtains so we could sleep in late. Nice pool/hot tub. The only down side to this hotel was the numerous high-school-aged sports teams staying here. The pool and lobby were overcrowded at times due to the numerous teens.
“Clean, great service, easy to find”
The staff was very friendly. The hotel was clean, the bed comfortable and the hot tub was hot. We'd definitely stay there again.
