“Good Clean Place to Stay”

We stayed and were very satisfied with our room and the hotel. It was a pain finding the hotel. Our GPS sent us somewhere else. The only thing we weren't thrilled with was the breakfast buffet. We knew it wasn't a complimentary breakfast, so it wasn't a surprise about the price. There are two types: the breads/fruit/oatmeal for $5.95, which I got and was good; and the full buffet for $8.95, which my husband got. He said the eggs were cold and so was the syrup for the pancakes. The server was very nice and attentive. If you did not want to eat there, there isn't anything within walking distance. Having said that, we got the room for a good price and was worth not having a complimentary breakfast.

“Convenient location in Golden area”

Location is good at a major intersection and nearby access to I-70 and US-6. There is a large shopping mall across US-6 to the north and you have to drive to get there. There's a Target where I went to get snacks and beverages. Many restaurants across the parking lot north of the mall. Didn't try any of them though. My GPS listed a Wendy's near the mall though I never found it. I called and the staff could not tell me how to get there!! This hotel is older than two others I stayed at in the Denver area so the interiors are a little dated but still very comfortable. Breakfast buffet is $10 and has the usual hot and cold items. You can have a Continental breakfast at a reduced price. Reception staff is very helpful and polite. The house keeping staff comes round rather early to make up your room. They knocked on my door at 8;20 am. They came round the same time the next morning when I was due to check out. Not sure why they wanted to make up the room since I was leaving. For those on extended trips, there are laundry facilities on 2nd floor. Had a pleasant stay and will consider staying here again if I have to be in the Golden area.

“Good Clean Accomodations”

We were very satisfied with this hotel. It's not a 4-star, but neither were the prices. Staff was friendly, rooms clean, etc.

“No Basic Amenities”

While the hotel itself was in great shape and the staff were wonderful, it was right next to a major CO highway and construction, so it was very loud. I had a balcony, but couldn't open the door because of all the noise. There were no vending machines and there weren't any gas stations nearby, so you either need to buy from the hotel's little convenience store or bring your own food. Breakfast was $8.95 - no complimentary service was available. Cute hotel, but the lack of basic conveniences that are available at pretty much every other hotel wasn't worth it.

“Good Hotel for Those Who Travel by Car”

The hotel was excellent in its facilities - pool with jacuzzi, exercise room, internet access, rooms, layout, etc. However, it is a bit difficult to locate, especially at night. We missed the cutoff and ended up trying to turn around in a field. Others in the conference I attended mentioned their difficulty, too. Also, there is no on-site restaurant or places to eat that are within safe walking distance at night. They only serve breakfast. In order to go for a one-hour lunch break, it is really only reasonable if one has a car at one's disposal. Distance from the airport could also be an issue for an early morning flight.
