Nice hotel in a nice part of Aurora

Posted Feb 23, 2015
Pros: The atmosphere is nice, the staff are very friendly and the location is easy to get in and out of.
Cons: The water feature, while unique, doesn't add anything to the experience. I found it somewhat distracting while eating dinner in the restaurant.
Location: The hotel is only about 10 minutes from the airport and roughly 20 minutes from downtown.
The hotel is only about 10 minutes from the airport and roughly 20 minutes from downtown. If you're planning on staying or working in Aurora, this would be an ideal hotel. It's situated in a nice business park extremely close to multiple restaurants. It also has easy access to Pena Blvd (back to the airport) or to I-70 (a short ride on Chambers). The hotel is clean with friendly staff. They have a unique water feature (waterfall) outside of the lobby in the main commons area. They also have a restaurant that serves breakfast lunch and dinner. Please note, though, that the breakfast is not included in your rates and breakfast isn't available until around 6AM. If you plan on getting an early start, you will need to pick up breakfast elsewhere. They offer three different breakfast options: you can get a continental breakfast for one charge, for slightly more you can get the breakfast buffet or you can order a la carte from the menu. The rooms were well kept and cleaned early enough that it was clean even getting back to the hotel by around 4PM.

Convenient to airport

Posted Feb 20, 2015
The hotel is located fairly close to the Denver airport and is convenient to Aurora and especially the University of Colorado medical campus. By looking online I got a good price. It isn't top of the line -- dated architecture -- but it's fine. Some rooms on the first floor facing the interior of the hotel have a window right on a corridor, meaning you lack privacy in the morning unless you have the curtain completely closed. There's chain-restaurant food nearby so it's fine, more for a business stay, I would think, than a family stay.

Close to Denver Airport

Posted Feb 16, 2015
Pros: Locaton
Cons: Cleanliness and attitude of staff
Location: Airport
Bathroom sink very dirty with toothpaste and dirt from previous guest. Reported it to reception, some came up and cleaned it and said it was done. When we went to check the sink was blocked. All the scum and dirty was now floating around the sink. Had to move rooms in the end.

Pros: It's proximity to the airport.
Location: near the airport
Very dated hotel. Requested a room change as first room was on the corner of building closest to major highway with accompanying traffic noise. Second room was an upgrade but room looked onto an atrium space making it dark. Although the price had been "discounted" , the "regular" price was well above other newer and nicer hotels in same local. I wouldn't stay there again.

Fine if you like dirty !

Posted Jan 20, 2015
Pros: That I could walk downstairs to my convention.
Cons: A complete remodel including new maids!
Location: DIA, downtown Denver.
Gross! First of all it takes 10 minutes for an elevator to make its way to you. I finally got over that and took the stairs from there on out. Than when you walk in your room get ready for a blast of disguss! It smells and I mean smells! I sat my stuff down on the night stands and it was covered in dust. So clearly that's not part of their cleaning checklist. To top all of this off I was 0 for 3 for a hot shower. Out of the three days we were there not one hot shower!!. I was there for a convention and had booked this through expedia so I could not check out with out being charged for it. Next convention there I will be staying down the street at one of the newer/cleaner hotels!

Dear Traveler, Thank you for your comments in regards to your recent stay. I sincerely apologize that your room was dirty. That is not something that is acceptable and I would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you to learn more about what happened and to make this right for you. In regards to the showers, there were no problems with the hotel hot water but we were unable to provide enough hot water when a majority of the guests in the hotel showered between 6-8AM. There were no other reports of hot water shortages other than at those times. Although I would love to tell you that the hotel can provide hot water to over 200 rooms with 2-4 guests per room at the same time, unfortunately this hotel, nor a hotel that I am familiar with can provide that. In the future, we will certainly work with your group to ensure that people are aware of the high demand at that time upon check in. I appreciate that you brought this to my attention and look forward to speaking with you about the cleanliness of your room. Close enough to the airport

Posted Jan 6, 2015
Pros: Updated nicely
Cons: The shuttle service was bad!
Clean, new, nice staff, nice restaurant.. We arrived before 11 at the airport and were made to wait over 40 minutes for the shuttle. The first phone call said the driver would be there in 10-15 minutes. Half an our later I called and they said 5-10 minutes. It got mighty cold out there. The very nice person who answered the phone cited traffic as the cause for the delay. There was no traffic. Don't lie to me. I would've gone in and had a beer. Instead I waited outside doorway 506 on island 3 freezing. Once we got to the hotel, it was fine.

Pros: The service staff was very courteous, responsive and helpful
Cons: Management should have understood the odor of the paint their contractor was using,
the smell of repainting was overpowering. surely there is a paint which could have been used which has no odor--

Dear Traveler, Thank you very much for your comments in regards to your recent stay. I am delighted to hear that you found the staff to be courteous, responsive and helpful. In regards to the painting of the pool, unfortunately that is a specialty paint for a pool and there is not a paint that works that does not have a smell. That is why we had to close the pool, which we never prefer to do, but we always want to err on the side of safety for our guests. I apologize that the smell from the closed pool was bothersome for you. Thank you again for your comments and for staying with us.
