Don't count on shuttle service

Posted Apr 15, 2014
Waited an over an hour for the shuttle bus from the Denver airport to days inn by the airport. It only seats 12 passengers and there are only 2 shuttles. I called 4 times in an hour and the hotel clerk kept telling me that they will be there in 5 min over and over. When I asked to contact the driver for his location, he told me his radio was broken. My flight got in at 10:30pm was waiting outside with luggage and 2 kids from 11pm- 12:15. Shuttle finally came for the first time and 12 people ran on in front of us. I got on anyway with my daughter after being told we had to wait for the next shuttle. We stayed, but my husband and son had to wait for the next shuttle. Got to hotel at 12:45am. My husband and son got on the next one but everyone else was so sick if waiting as well that everyone piled in angry, fighting and exceed the capacity. The driver let them do it, probably because he would have done the same. This is disappointing for the days inn chain hotel to not be able to afford to accommodate passengers. The same shuttle goes to holiday inn. So keep this in mind when staying at a hotel by the Denver airport.

Nice hotel close to the airport

Nice hotel close to the airport, but very little parking - we had to park across the street, on the street.

Airport friendly.

Pros: Nice pool and spa. Much appreciated. Certainly convenient location to airport.
Cons: Telephone in room did not work. There are still people who rely on landlines.
Location: Not much to do nearby if you're not going to the airport. A few restaurants and long distance views. Aurora is about ten minutes away.
Hotel came in handy for picking up an old friend at the airport and finding a convenient place to stay. A long haul into downtown Denver but overall a good experience.

Close to DIA

I only spent one short night here before going to the airport. The bed was comfy and everything was clean, which was really all I cared about.

I will never stay at a Days Inn again.

Neither the phone nor the wireless service worked in the room, and the hotel staff were incredibly unhelpful. There were a number of choices near the airport; I wished I had picked another one.

Nice hotel- considering the price.

I booked the hotel for a quick overnight stay. You get what you pay for. With tax and taking advantage of an online deal on Expedia, I ended up paying around $74 for the night. Staff was friendly- rooms were clean. It is a great option if you aren't looking for anything too fancy.

Pros: A couple of restaurants are nearby
Continental breakfast was minimal, but what can you expect? It was a great rate, close to the airport.

Hotel with no parking

The shower was broken. When I went to call the front desk to tell them the shower was broken, I found out the phone was broken. Also, many of the lights were also broken. The only saving grace to this hotel, was the manager who apologized severely and comped us a hotel room at his newly renovated hotel next door, the Best Western. My suggestions are to just book a room at the best western.
