this hotel is only a few minutes from downtown Denver, yet reasonable, clean, and staff was very friendly. would go back again. i enjoyed my stay.

“Pleasantly Surprised”

For the neighborhood and price, It was better than expected. The room was clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. It was quiet considering its proximity to a main thoroughfare. That's provided that you run the air/heat unit when in your room. Wouldn't send first time visitors to this hotel because of its location. There are lots of hidden jewels (restaurants, shops bars) in this area, but you have to know where to find them. It's certainly not for everyone. This section of Colfax is just east of downtown and the State Capitol Building but is grungy and urban. The neighborhood is safe and the hotel has a 24 hour front desk which any guest or visitor has to pass through to get to the rooms.

“great location if you're seeing a show”

the Econolodge could not be more conveniently located, right across the street from the Ogden and Fillmore theaters. See a show and stumble back to the comfort of your own room. Very friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable rooms. No complaints whatsoever.

“reasonable”

hallways are on outdoors, so you need to get dressed to get breakfast. The heater is quite loud (not something you would leave on overnight). Nice view out of our window.

“Close to the Fillmore”

Econo Lodge is a nice place to stay if you want to be close to the Fillmore Auditorium. It is walking distance away and very clean.

“Interesting location”

Was in town for the GABF. Hotel was clean and a good value. The area around the hotel was interesting...not so nice. However, combined with the fact that there is a great dinner down the street and the price, I'll probably stay there next year.

“Good for economy stay”

Our stay was quite satisfactory for the cost. We found we could walk to the capital, the Mint and with a little more time, to the 16th street mall. Breakfast was very modest. Surroundings just so, so.

“Convenient for Downtown Denver”

Denver Econo Lodge is a reasonably priced hotel in the Capitol Hill district. It is an old building in an old neighbourhood but the staff is obliging and it is safe and comfortable. Its main advantage is that it is only 15 minutes walk from the State Capitol and downtown.
