Family oriented stay with excellent foodPosted Sep 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
Excellent place to stay and very affordable. The place was more like a bed and breakfast with food available all day long. 2 jacuzzi's, pool table, huge deck areas, 80" screen TV and always willing to help you out. Very small for a lodge - only 10 rooms but they were very rustic and comfortable. The management made you feel like you were living at home and were always doing things to make your stay enjoyable.

Rustic, family feel-good vibePosted Sep 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
The only complaint about this lodge was that the water pressure in the shower was low and the temp fluctuated as other people showered. Otherwise, this place is great, feels like a log cabin home and the staff were sweet as could be and very helpful. LOVED the very clean hot tub that overlooks the beautiful surrounding mountains. If I'm ever in the area again, I will most definitely stay here.

Great Mountain ViewsPosted Sep 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
The owners provide great service. The bathrooms could use some remodeling and the lighting was not good, but those are relatively minor issues. Overall it is a great location with great service and wonderful mountain views. If you are looking for something right off the interstate then this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a great mountain lodging experience then this is where you want to be.

Everything we expected for a mountain lodge.Posted Sep 1, 2013
Pros: Priced well, clean, in excellent shape.
Location: Walking and hiking, great wildlife sightings, Nederland.
Everything we expected in a mountain lodge. Homey and quaint, breathtaking view, great breakfast, clean and up-to-date yet rustic. The young man we spoke to was very friendly. Relatively close to Nederland. I would recommend this for a romantic weekend in the summer. We have lived in Texas for 30 years and missed Colorado. Limited time frame, this was exactly what I was hoping for; outdoors, comfort, romantic atmosphere.

Nice place and friendly staffPosted Aug 30, 2013
Nice hotel. Small hotel with real nice owners. Great view of downtown Boulder at night. Up in the mountains and out of the way for some peace and quite. It is not modern but has some old time characater.

Perfect Views, Excellent HospitalityPosted Aug 28, 2013
Pros: I loved the views, the décor, the spaciousness of common areas, the super hot tub, and the warm hospitality of the owners.
Cons: The lights outside the rooms are bright at night, so blackout curtains could help make the rooms darker for sleeping.
Location: On the Peak-to-Peak Highway, a gorgeous Scenic Byway in the mountains. 15 to 45 minutes from towns and scenic State Parks for hikes, biking, shops.
A beautiful mountain property for either a romantic getaway or a family trip, with lovely rustic furniture and a spacious lodge in which to spend family or private time. My room had a Queen bed and a set of bunk beds that had one full and one twin bed, so a family could sleep comfortably as well as saving money by cooking meals in the well-equipped kitchenette with a full-size fridge. The owners and their family members are gracious and friendly hosts, offering a full, fresh breakfast including organic milk, eggs, potatoes, fruit and more. Three different decks offer views of Long's Peak, with two large and well-jetted hot tubs available for guests from early morning until past sundown. Besides the spectacular sunrises and sunsets, I especially enjoyed watching hummingbirds play in the treetops just beyond the deck my back windows faced.
