“Convienent location”
We enjoyed our stay. I found that this location is very convienent to downtown. The staff was friendly and even suggested place to eat that were off the beaten path. It was nice having a Panera location right in front of hotel. Would have been nice to have had complimentary breakfast bar.
“exceeded all expectations”
staff was efficient and friendly, daily coffee (AM) and water & cookies (PM) in lobby, dealt well with inconvenience of adjacent construction by providing 24 hr valet service for (free) car parking, hotel restaurant very good, and Panera, Garbanzo in front of the hotel a plus
“The hotel is nice but there's a change in service they've forgotten to mention.....”
For those of you who choose this hotel because of the free self parking, it is no longer available...at least for the time being. There is major construction going on right now. An undeground garage is being constructed as well as an all suite hotel and other retail development in front of the hotel. Self parking is no longer an option....they are providing valet service. Although it is free, the hotel needs to update their website to reflect this fact. I was taken because I didn't know about this service until I arrived. I thought I had to pay....I personally never heard of free valet although I'm sure it exists. Maybe the hotel plans to update their website but I wanted to give those of you a heads up just in case you don't know. The project is scheduled to be completed in late 2012. Will they go back to self parking or most importantly...will it remain free? Don't know. Hope so.
“Excellent rooms and hotel but, extremely noisy, couldn't sleep.”
The hotel, staff and room were excellent. The clientele were business professionals and very nice people. The bed was very firm, yet had a comfortable memory foam topper, which made it pretty comfortable. It was a bit too firm for my taste. To put it in perspective, I'm 6'4" and weigh 225lbs. I'm sure this was a factor. Larger people than I might find the bed even less comfortable. While the room was excellent, the noise generated by traffic from Colorado Blvd was unbearable. I put in soft foam ear plugs, was on the 6th floor and put a pillow over my head while sleeping. The traffic passing by still woke me several times a night for both nights of my stay. Initially the heater in my room was broken. Combined with the noise from traffic, I slept only 3 hours the 1st night. I notified the front desk and they promptly had the heater fixed. While the room was warm on the 2nd night, the noise from the traffic allowed me to sleep only 5 hours. Overall, it's a wonderful hotel. But if you're a light sleeper I couldn't recommend it.
“Will stay here again for sure.”
This was our second stay. Both times, the staff has been friendly, the room ready, the breakfast good (better coffee last year) and the location convenient to our relatives'home - might not be as convenient for downtown Denver. The place is very well kept in all respects and the room is comfortable. On both stays we have had a great view of the little park across the street and the magnificent Rockies in the distance.
“Cherry Creek Central”
Nice hotel - clean, quiet on the back side of the hotel, would recommend for central location
“Will be back”
very nice and clean Staff was very helpful
“Too much road noise on Colorado Blvd side! Many other issues.”
I paid extra for an executive mountain view room. What a disappointment! First, the good: the room was clean and tastefully decorated. The staff was friendly, and the building felt safe. Now, the bad things. 1) There were no bags in the garbage pails. Normally, I am one of those travelers that appreciate eco-friendly hotels, and I often will reuse towels before having them replaced by housekeeping. But it seems really unsanitary to not have bags in the pails. 2) I was on the mountain-view side of the building, but the noise coming from Colorado Blvd (even at the top floors that I was on) was almost too much. You could constantly hear the traffic, especially when buses, motorcycle, or loud cars went by. 3) I usually like to have HVAC AC/Heat fan always on when in a hotel to help drown out the background noises. But it was quite warm during my stay, and the in-wall A/C was SOOOO clunky and loud, it was borderline defective-sounding. 4) My closet had some sort of exposed A/V unit for TVs that got quite warm and the fans were audible in the room, even with the HVAC unit on. It also caused an electronic heat-like smell in the room in the evenings. It looked like some sort of hub, so I am not sure if all rooms had this or not. 5) The room had a mini-fridge and microwave, but no plates or silverware. I had to go out and purchase some plastic utensils and plates to make use of some pre-made food. 6) I enjoyed my less-inexpensive stay at the Hilton Inn in the DTC much more.
“Great Hotel, Hard Beds”
Everything was great at the hotel, except the beds. If you like really hard beds, this place is for you. Both of my coworkers agreed that the beds were incredibly hard and we all had trouble sleeping.
“wonderful break”
Would definitely recommend this hotel to others seeking to get away for a few relaxing days. Lots of restaurants nearby including a Panera at the front of the the hotel on Colorado Blvd. Very little road noise although we faced the street, good view from the room, easy access to Cherry Creek Mall and a relaxing walk to it along the creek. The staff handled the sudden snow very well and the parking lot was not icy.
