1 night in Lakewood

Pros: Location
Cons: It would have been nice to have had an earlier check in. Rooms were not yet available when we left for the day to go sight seeing at 1:00 pm.
Location: I stayed at this hotel to attend a concert at Red Rocks Amphitheater.
Satisfactory location with several restaurants nearby. Unable to check in early before we left the area at 1:00 pm to go sight seeing. Checked in at 11:00 pm after concert at Red Rocks Amphitheater. The restaurant/bar was closing just as we arrived at the hotel. Fortunately, there was an Old Chicago restaurant across the street. Went down to use the hot tub at 9:00 am and it was closed.

Very dated and small rooms

Pros: The staff
This is the most dated Holiday Inn I have stayed in. The rooms were small and the floors were dirty. The hallways smelled like mildew and smoke. The staff was great though.

Nice hotel, nice restaurant, and pleasant staff

Their Sports Grill provides good food at affordable prices and great service. Overall, the hotel is very clean and staff very friendly and accommodating.

Flying visit to the Frontier Days

Great but not perfect.

Pros: Bed was very comfortable. Room service was quick and good.
Cons: Bigger rooms and better assistance for disabled guests.
Location: US 285 freeway is adjacent. Sporting News Grill is next door and provides room service. Menu includes burgers, sandwiches, steaks, salads, etc.
Overall this hotel is was fine, but there are few things that could be improved. My wife and I are both disabled (I'm in a wheelchair and she is legally blind) and although we arrived very late -- around 1am -- the front desk clerk didn't even offer to assist us with our luggage. I realize at that late hour he might have been the only person on duty, but it would have been nice if he just acknowledge the fact that we might need some help. Never the less, we grabbed the luggage cart ourselves and made our way to our room with only a little bit of a struggle. Also, I specifically booked a Handicapped accessible room which had a roll-in shower and lowered bathroom sink. But the built-in shower chair did not sit level which made me feel like I would slide off to the floor at any minute, and the room itself was a bit snug for a person in a wheelchair. I would suggest getting rid of the chair and ottoman and reposition the bed -- maybe even widen the entry way a bit -- if possible. The room service was quick and the food was ok for the price, but a free breakfast would be nice -- should be the norm for any three star or better hotel now a days. Location is good -- right next to the 285 freeway and overall a nice place to stay. If I wasn't in a wheelchair, I would likely stay there again.

great hotel denver

Pros: mattresses, the room set up, the pool, the free breakfast, shuttle to the downtown area
Cons: nothing
Location: butterfly pavilion, aquarium, zoo, museum of science, casa bonita, shuttle to downtown
The room was great with very nice mattresses and very clean. the pool was outside, but the temperature was very warm and it was quite comfortable swimming in the cooler morning. The free breakfast was great and very filling. everything was very clean and nice.

Really nice hotel. The only problem was housekeeping did not give us any small towels for two days. The front desk was really helpful and the pool, hot tub, and fitness center was outstanding. I will recommend this hotel to all my friends
