Pros: great hotel
Location: The Denver Center for Performing Arts and great restaurants
We had a wonderful stay at the Teatro. We enjoy the comfort and elegance of this hotel and its close proximity to the Denver Center for Performing Arts. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Elegant and tasteful

Posted Dec 11, 2014
Pros: Nicely appointed historic hotel with modern amenities. The staff is pleasant, friendly and helpful.
Location: Conveniently located in downtown Denver close to a lot of stores, restaurants and attractions.
Teatro is tastefully decorated, the rooms was nice, bathroom was great with both a deep tub and an awesome shower with a ceiling-mounted shower head that rains down on you. Nickel is their lobby restaurant and it has good food at a reasonable price. For dinner I had 2 local beers, an arugula salad, braised short ribs, a deconstructed smore for dessert, and an after-dinner digestif for $80...I could have easily eaten a burger and beer for $30 or so. The bed sheets were super thick. Bed was comfortable.

Great for a weekend getaway

Posted Dec 8, 2014
This is a great hotel choice. It is centrally located which means you can walk to just about anywhere in the LoDo neighborhood in minutes, and has quick access to the highway if you're looking to leave the city and enjoy the mountains. The hotel itself is very unique and has theater-themed decor everywhere. The staff was excellent, always inviting and courteous, and they even offered to check us into our flight home on the way out. The only issue we faced was parking, because we wanted to avoid the $30-something-a-night valet price with our rental car, so we opted to park on the street and had to feed the meter every two hours until 10pm (but parking is only $1 an hour and relatively easy to come by close to the hotel). Great place!

Beautiful Hotel but noisy. Lazy front desk clerk.

Posted Dec 8, 2014
Pros: Gorgeous lobby lounge and restaurant and I like the small size of the hotel. Room & bathroom was very nice, comfortable bed. Great location.
Cons: The front desk's knowledge of the hotel and passing it along to me needs improving. Add "white noise" sound machines to those rooms facing 14th Street
I checked in and the front desk clerk didn't explain to me anything about the hotel amenities (unlike her co-worker checking guests in next to her with a thorough explanation) and then she gave me the worst room in the hotel (room 200) that smelled like barbecue (it's directly above the restaurant) and had the worst view of the hotel's rooftop mechanics. I immediately went back downstairs to get a new room and she got her manager and he put me in a beautiful room on the 4th floor yet the street traffic, car alarms and late night party goers we're heard easily through my windows. It's a beautiful boutique hotel yet my service was very subpar. Is it because I got a good rate and booked thru Expedia that they didn't treat me as good as if I booked directly with them for $100 more per night...? Hmmm. Not sure. I am not sure I'll go back as there are many other good options in downtown Denver.

We arrived at teatro after we skied on vail . Teatro give us more surprise for our trip. The staff of the front desk is so nice and they give us very good recommend of dinner. We find a bag of sweet cookie on the desk when we open the door. The location of hotel is excellent ! You can walk to 16th in 2 minutes and you will get a free ride by a cadilac escalade within 2 miles if you want.

Great location; easy to walk to theaters/restauran

Posted Dec 1, 2014
Pros: The room, location, and amazing staff! The cleanliness!
Location: several theaters, shopping, great restaurants! Comedy club nearby as well.
Check was fast and easy. Staff is all super friendly and courteous. Restaurant is very nice. The room has lots of touches that I appreciate- soaking tub and separate shower; tons of counter space; an area by the front door for luggage; swing arm for TV. The room and lobby & restaurant areas are very clean and comfortable. Location is amazing for walking to attractions, shopping, & great restaurants.
