Excellent downtown locationPosted Nov 22, 2013
Pros: Location, furnishings, staff was very friendly and helpful, noise level was quiet.
Cons: Wash or replace the pillows and mattress covers. Do a smell check!
Location: Near the Broncos and Avalanche stadiums, near the walking mall, and theaters. Safe, clean, well kept area.
Overall the hotel was very nice. The room was very clean and I appreciated they had wiped down the phone, remotes and handles. The furnishings were in excellent condition and the noise level was very low. I have one complaint about the bedding. The pillows and bedding smelled awful. They smelled like greasy hair. I asked the staff to replace the pillowcases which they did, but it didn't help the smell, so I put my own t-shirts over the top. They should consider replacing or washing the very well used pillows and mattress covers.

Very pleasant hotel, close to convention centerPosted Oct 30, 2013
Pros: Smaller, non-chain hotel, friendly and efficient, comfortable spacious rooms.
Location: Close (3-4 blocks) to Convention Centre and numerous restaurants (2 blocks).
Booked as an "Expedia Unpublished Rate Hotel" and was very pleased with the result — excellent hotel in a good location at a very favourable rate.

A night awayPosted Oct 24, 2013
We were going to a concert downtown and decided to stay over. The front desk was great. They upgraded us without asking because they heard we were celebrating my 60th birthday. We went to a Bonnie Raitt concert and got back late but the Bartender, who was cleaning up, got us drinks and made us feel comfortable.

Pros: Location, location, free shuttle, on-site cafe-bar.
Cons: The staff, while friendly, was not always as knowledgeable as they could have been.
Location: You are very close to several fine restaurants and the performing arts complex. Also to shopping on the 16th street mall.

Great hotel with genuinely hospitable staffPosted Oct 17, 2013
Pros: Spacious room, luxirious appointments. Fantastic bathroom with walk in shower and separate very deep soaking tub. Comfortable beds, great linens
Location: Charming Larimer Square. Performing arts center. Not far away, the biggest REI store anywhere.
The hotel was terrific, my Expedia experience was not. I would stay here again in a heartbeat, but I won't be using the Expedia unpublished rate again.

Hotel TeatroPosted Oct 13, 2013
Pros: The location was great, two blocks off 16th Street Mall
Location: Museums, Theater, 16th Street Mall, all within walking distance.
I was very disappointed in the Hotel Teatro. If it had been a 3 1/2 star hotel it would of been fine, but it is not a 4 1/2 star hotel as rated. The checkin desk seemed confused and disorganized, not very attentive. When we checked in our room wasn't ready so we left our bags with the desk. When we went to retrieve our bags the ticket had fallen off one of the bags, which happened to be my husbands briefcase, which is not the best bag to lose. Our room was very crowded, about 18 inches between bed and window, the bed the coffee table and the bed and the chair. My husband had a hard time putting his boots on due to lack of room. There wasn't a bedside lamp on one side of the bed. There was a $35.00 deposit on the room key, and $29.00 for parking. The best part of the room was the bathroom, very nice except we had a hard time regulating the temperature of the water. No shampoo, lots of conditioner On a positive note, the room was clean and our bed had been turned down. Also chocolates were left by the bedside. When checking out we gave the valet ticket to the valet, but he brought us the wrong car. Excuses were made but if we were dishonest people we could of driven off with someone else's car.
