“As good as any other inexpensive hotel”

I had a good stay . My only complaint is that the two bedside lamps were missing lightbulbs; when I tried to call the desk to report it I got no answer. So I kept having to switch lightbulbs back and forth between a lamp that I didn't need at night to the bedside lamp--a minor inconvenience. I liked the fact that the window could be opened for fresh air. This hotel allows pets, and although I didn't have a pet with me, I saw no evidence of pets in the hotel or on its grounds. I would stay at this hotel again.

What to pack
My stay was in early October, and I had been informed of the weather forecast, but hadn't planned for snow. It snowed in the mountains the first day I was there, and I found myself wishing I had packed boots or shoes suitable for snow, as well as a light jacket to wear over the sweaters I had brought.
Dining
I highly recommend the Morrison Inn in Morrison, CO. Their menu includes Mexican and American food. I ordered Pork Barbacoa, which is shredded pork in a light BBQ-type sauce, served wrapped in a tortilla with green chile sauce. It was wonderful! The pork was tender and full-flavored with just a hint of BBQ, and the green chile sauce wasn't spicy, which is a plus for me. I would order this dish again. I can also recommend the margarita, although mine did not have a hint of strawberry or banana flavor, which is what I ordered; it tasted like a plain margarita, but a very good one!

“Denver Getaway”

Although this property is several years old, you would never know it by the condition of the facilities, as it looks nearly new. There is a bright friendly feel to the hotel and it has become our regular stay in Denver when in town visiting family and friends. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful; always greeting you as you pass through the lobby. All in all, this is one of the best values in the country.

“Enjoyed it. Will stay there again.”

Clean, comfortable room with fridge, microwave, coffee, and lots of natural light. Exceptionally friendly staff. Attractive decor, cheerful breakfast area with lots of windows and natural light and view of plants and flowers. Great waffles!

“Would stay again”

Clean room, friendly staff, good continental breakfast (waffles, hard boiled eggs, muffins etc). The location is about 25-30 min from touristy sites (museums, water park etc), but that makes it pretty quiet at night. The pool and hot tub were well-kept, and there is a nice garden area with gazebo where you can sit and relax. The hotel also has a business area, which has one computer (with WiFi access) and printer that you can use for free. I would stay here again.

“It was okay.”

This hotel was very convenient to where I had to work. It was satisfactorily clean. They put me on the outside wall, knowing there was road work going on outside, which is pretty inconsiderate. I'm a business traveler and they knew that, but they're not paid to think when you check in...just to stick you in a room. I specifically asked if this room would be noisy. I wish someone would teach hotels in the U.S. what a real continental breakfast is. Bread products and coffee don't really work for me. I had to go to Denny's, which was nearby. The area is not glamorous, but there are a lot of good nearby restaurants. There is an Indian Restaurant nearby which freaking GREAT!! (Namaste)

“Great Service”

The staff was always friendly. They were overbooked and took care of things to our satisfaction without any problems or extra cost. The rating on this hotel should be higher.

“FIRE ALARM AT 12:20 AM”

I was awaked by a fire alarm at 12:20 am and never received any communication from the hotel personnel. After 30 minutes of the alarm sounding, I walked down to the stairs to the lobby and ran into s security officer of the hotel who said: Oh, by the way, it was a false alarm. The next day, I took and elevator to the 4th floor and when the elevator door opened, a door was locked in place from the hall that would not let you off the elevator. There were no signs on the first floor or in the elevator that mentioned this, but there was a sign posted on the 4th floor on the elevator doos saying DOOR CLOSED. In brief, the situation was badly handled and no one ever tried to communicate to me. Is this normal policy??

Getting around
Make sure you have a GPS as there is alot of construction and a little confusing all around Denver/Lakewood

“Nice family hotel - would stay again.”

Nice hotel - wish we had been there in the summer with the pool & hot tub open. The outdoor area looked really nice. Breakfast was good - the staff was super nice. It was a short trip to Denver but we'd definitely stay again.
