OK hotel. Within walking distance to Coors Field.

Posted Jun 22, 2015
Pros: Within walking distance to Coors Field.
Cons: Staff could have been more friendly and helpful.
Location: Coors Field.
The staff was less than pleasant. And the hotel wasn't the cleanest. However our room was clean, spacious and comfy.

Not so great

Extraordinarily noisy - King Suite??? Not sure what made it a suite and an area where many homeless congregate. would not recommend for a family. Rates are decent enough if you do not mind walking a mile into the downtown Denver area and can tolerate noisy freeway ramps.

Ok one nighter

Ok for one night but anything else I would look somewhere else. The bed lumpy, carpet worn and location a little loud close to on ramp for highway

don't stay here!!!

Posted Jun 9, 2015
Pros: nothing
Cons: the cleaning staff, it was horrible, the front end desk employees, be more professional looking
this was the worst la quinta inn ive ever stayed at!!! I wish I would have just spent a little more money for a nicer hotel. the room was dirty!!!! the air conditioner didn't work, the beds were horrible the bathroom was discussing, hair everywhere, and I mean everywhere, on ceiling floor, the tub. I had to clean it up before my grandkids could take a bath. breakfast was very bad. the rooms looked nothing like the pictures. the night staff was very unprofessional. . you are not in a nice area, very run down. don't waste money here!!!!

One week stay

Posted Jun 8, 2015
Pros: People at the front desk Comfortable bed and pillows
Location: There is almost nothing at walking distance from the hotel. I had to take a taxi downtown every day.
I stayed for a week at La Quinta Inn. The building itself seems to lack some maintenance: painting is old, there was a door with a cracked glass, and the window in my room could not be completely open. The room didn't have a fridge, which was bad, but I knew it beforehand. The cleaning service was not very good; my linens were not changed during the whole stay. The room was pretty good, though, with a big TV and two very comfortable beds. The wifi isn't very good also. Breakfast was good, but it lacked some fresh fruit besides apples and oranges. The people at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. Also, there was some noise from the trains passing nearby. All in all, I thought the hotel is OK, although a bit overpriced.

Updated, spacious room but poor location

Posted Jun 4, 2015
Pros: Spacious room. WIFI good. Large desk area was very helpful
Cons: See above
Location: See above
Located almost on the freeway. Noisy. Not a great neighborhood. Room was comfortable except for one annoying thing: The light switch for the bathroom was located outside of the bathroom itself. That meant waking up the other person with a blast of light for night trips to the bathroom. Opted to go to another hotel for the second night. Did not realize Expedia would charge us for the second night although we checked out well before mid day! UGH! Not happy.

Close to Coors Field

Posted May 27, 2015
Pros: Liked the fact that we could just walk to Coors Field from the room so we didn't need to worry about parking. Also enjoyed the continental breakfast.
Cons: Smell of the rooms! Needed to be aired out.
Wanted a non-smoking room but got a room that was soaked w/ the smell of cigarettes...hurt my chest/ lungs breathing smell in overnight.

The only good thing about this hotel was that it was close enough to downtown to be worth the cheaper price. It did not match the room pictures seen, more run down and dirty. My room was a non smoking room that reaked of smoke the second you went through the door, bugs all over the bathroom and the outside door did not close all the way.

Cons: Update and maintain this aging facility!
I often choose La Quinta wherever I travel and have a certain expectation of quality. The Denver Central was a poorly maintained, aging facility. Squeaking, old beds, filthy bathroom tiles, filthy carpeting, no microwave or refrigerator as expected--avoid this establishment at all cost!
