Light in the storm

Aside from the construction in the lobby and the fact that the restroom in my actual room didn't seem ADA friendly, the room served its purpose during the extreme cold conditions and was a decent place to lay my head at night. I feel the price was decent as compared to the competition. I had dinner delivered from a nearby pizza/Italian restaurant that was great and had amazing customer service!!

LA QUINTA AT THE PROMENADE

Posted Nov 20, 2014 on Hotels.com
Having stayed at the La Quinta at the Promenade before it never dawned on me to ask if they were renovating. The lobby and hallways were a mess. Insulation was all over the hall and the breakfast room was less than appetizing. I finally found the coffee in another room and got a cup of Decaf for my husband. It was ice cold! Our room was satisfactory except for a hole in the comforter on one of the beds. On Monday morning there was hammering that started around 4:00 a.m., which was ok for me, but not for my husband. I will think twice before I stay at a La Quinta again. I certainly will check to see if any renovation is underway.

Very disappointed

This hotel is in need of major work. Tile was disgusting on the bathroom floor. We did not even shower because it was so gross.

Hotel stay

Alarm clock did not work; it was so cheap -pushed all kinds of buttons and nothing. Luckily, I had my iphone as an alarm clock. Also, the TV remote did not work; maybe it needed batteries, but I could not get the volume down, so turned it off. Also, the walls were paper thin; as soon as I walked in the room, I could here the next room's TV. Luckily, they didn't keep it on too long.

Rooms were average...a bit old and dated. Hotel is under renovation in lobby but didn't cause any problems. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good and coffee was yummy.

It was ok

Posted Oct 13, 2014
Pros: The breakfast was nice.
Cons: The professionalism of your staff.
Location: The location was ok and near where I needed to be the next day, but again, the hotel itself was difficult to find.
The hotel was difficult to find, especially in the dark. There was no sign lit up from the road, the hair dryer in my room did not work, and the coffee pot from the previous person had never been cleaned out. There was no creamer packets or sugar to go with the coffee. The hotel hostess was rude when I checked in. The gentleman who checked me out the next morning, was ok, not rude, but not friendly either. The breakfast the next morning was nice.
