Affordable DIA Accomodations

Posted Jul 26, 2015
Pros: Convenient, affordable.
Cons: More amenities but that would push price up.
There are no frills, but does allow an affordable one night stay and shuttle to airport. You can park your car for a week or two at $5 a day, this was key factor for staying at Micro Tel. The hotel was clean, offered breakfast, exercise room and close to restaurants.

Easy access to the Denver International Airport.

Pros: Perfect bed.
Cons: Enlarge parking lot.
Although the address was 63rd Ave, this was actually just off Tower Rd. Very easy access to DIA. Breakfast and shuttle service.

Close to Denver airport

Posted Jul 24, 2015
Average motel with minimum conveniences, but comfortable and basically clean. The sheets had a strong perfume odor I assume from the laundry detergent, but it was a bit strong for my senses. The air-conditioning unit cover was loose and I tried to realign with no success. Good for a short stay and close to the airport, so very convenient for air travel. Staff was friendly and efficient, breakfast was mostly cold items no eggs/bacon.

nice hotel close to the airport.

Posted Jul 21, 2015
Pros: The location, and the staff was excellent. even at 2:30 in the morning.
Cons: not much.
Location: not too sure. You can easily go to the airport
I got in to Denver very late, about 2:00 AM. The van driver came out even though it was after the last run time. The staff was cordial, and professional. The room was small, but quite clean, and everything was in working order.

There are a ton of better hotels near by.

Posted Jul 21, 2015
Pros: Nothing.
The hotel is run down, but clean. Very convenient to the airport, but surrounded by other hotels we would choose in the future. We needed an early morning ride to the airport, and the front desk told us the earliest shuttle was at 4:15. That didn't work for us, so we asked them to call us a cab for 3:15, and were very specific that we needed one that took credit cards. The clerk wrote down what we needed and said no problem. The next morning I went downstairs to get coffee, and they were loading up a 3:15 shuttle to the airport. When I asked the front desk why we were told they didn't have an earlier shuttle, the clerk responded that she had just arrived at 11, and couldn't help me, the shuttle was full and didn't know why I wasn't told. I then asked to confirm our cab, and she told me she hadn't ordered it yet, but would momentarily. The cab arrived, and they didn't take credit cards. At this point, we were late for the airport. The clerk again said it wasn't her fault, she arrived a 11 p.m. and didn't know anything. I threw a fit, and they agreed to let the shuttle take us to the airport. We were late and had to run to our flight. Terrible customer service on top of a mediocre hotel. No thanks.

An Excellent Experience

Posted Jul 17, 2015
Cons: The landscaping needed cleaned up. The parking was really tight.
Location: Super close to the airport and easy access in and out.
Although this hotel was not overly fancy or fussy, it was an excellent place to stay. Everything was very clean except for some weeds in a back flower bed. The beds were comfortable, carpet was in good shape, etc. The staff was friendly and helpful. The free shuttle to the airport was great and so nice not to have to drive at midnight! I would stay there again and I would recommend it to others.

Nice hotel close to airport

Posted Jul 17, 2015
Pros: location near airport and cleanliness
Cons: N/A
Location: near airport and many different fast food and restaurant options, highway nearby to take you to downtown Denver or any other spots
Only stayed one night before flying home, but it was only a 5 minute drive to the car rental place by the airport. Nice and close to avoid the highway traffic in the morning. Breakfast was nice in the morning with a large range of time to be able to make it to breakfast, and you can check into this hotel early (2 pm). Also down the road from a complex with many food options. Room was cozy, clean, and comfortable. I also saw that you can get a shuttle to and from the airport if you don't have a rental car.

Dirty!

Posted Jul 15, 2015
Pros: Nothing
Cons: A total makeover.
Location: Tower Rd by the airport. The best thing to do there is to check into another hotel
I am a pretty laissez faire kind of guy but my stay at the Wyndham Microtel on Tower road was disgusting. I stayed there years ago when it was new and so when I had an early morning flight out of DIA I opted to stay there again. It was obvious that nothing had been done to the hotel for years. From the weeds surrounding the hotel to the paint and wallpaper. Dirty carpets and floors to the disgustingly dirty shuttle van with stained seats with what looked like cereal on the seats and the cracked windshield. Everything about the hotel was dirty. At 1:15am I called down to the front desk to complain about the couple next door yelling so loud at each other - or maybe it was the TV - that I couldn't sleep. My room seemed clean but felt like it wasn't. You know that feeling? Yuk! Dirty! And a Wyndham Hotel!! Be forewarned. The bagels for breakfast were all individually wrapped with Saran wrap obviously by the staff and I wondered if they had washed their hands before dining so. I passed. And I will pass on EVER staying there again. Not a good experience.

room was very nice except only a trickle of water and plenty in the shower - had a flood even with the curtain drawn. Staff and shuttle service was awesome!
