Nice hotel, excellent views

A little far from downtown Denver, but they do have a free shuttle that takes you to downtown on the hour every hour. Clean room, and the breakfast was good!

Cold and not real clean

Posted Nov 13, 2014
The Windows that cover the whole wall of the room let in so much cold air that the wall below was eveven covered with frost the next morning. Bathroom vent in the shower was covered in slimy lint and water was lukewarm all the way on hot.

Smelled like wet dog

Posted Nov 13, 2014
The hotel staff was great. But the room smelled like wet dog and would not go away. I heard many people asking for febreeze to de funk their room. The hotel bar and restaurants was very odd, service there was non existent. People would wait to be seated and no one would help them. The food was terrible. And they closed hours before they said they would. Free shuttle to many spots. That was great but would not stay there again.

Pleasant Surprise

Posted Nov 10, 2014
Pros: The free breakfast and the reasonable room rates.
Cons: Bath tub tiles could be replaced or repaired. Not a significant issue for us.
Location: We were in an industrial area, but close to just about everything (5-10 miles).
We have been spoiled by normal 4-star hotel stays. Very nice. Arriving at the hotel we were a bit disappointed but eventually realized that the hotel was good enough for us to plan a second stay. The food was very good. Free breakfast made the stay better. We don't like the "pet-friendly" situation. If animals are in a room it is probable that they will use the bathroom on the floor, hence, we bought $6 house shoes at Walmart and took care of those concerns. On the smoking floors you could smell the chemicals used to fight any smoke or animal aromas. We would and will stay again.

Pretty Old Hotel, needs renovation

Posted Nov 6, 2014
Pros: People working there.
Cons: Infrastructure, tv solution
Location: Nothing really, the location is more or less ok, but everything interesting is 20 to 25 minutes away
There are 2 sides to consider: 1st: People. The People is very nice, they do their best, they work hard and I cannot give a single complain on the Human Side of the hotel. 2nd: Infrastructure: The Hotel is too old, the carpet needs to be replaced on every single floor, there are 3 elevators, but most of the time there only 1 working, the rest of the time there were 2, but those are old and slooowwwww. They have a smoking area outside the building, located in a mandatory pass to the parking lot. That smoking are was crowned every single time I passed from or to the parking lot. I really hate that! The pool is advertised but not open. Breakfast lacks options. Wifi is fast and reliable. Again, People is awesome! they get a smile out of you just the way they work. Forget the TV, lacks most channels!!!!

Nice for the price

Posted Nov 3, 2014
Pros: Clean rooms, friendly staff. Free shuttles downtown.
Cons: There's no AC in the rooms. I know it is unseasonably warm for October, but we were roasting in the room and the window only opened about 4 inches.
Location: Close to the coliseum.
The hotel was quiet and clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The bed was comfortable, but there was no AC in the room. I turned the thermostat to cool and turned in on medium before I left. When I returned, the room was ROASTING. I then found the piece of paper tacked to the wall that said during winter time, turn it off. Only a minor discomfort. Overall, I was quite pleased with the hotel and I will likely stay here again.

Isolated hotel location far from downtown

Posted Nov 2, 2014
Pros: Hourly transport to downtown
Cons: Breakfast
Location: Nothing
Very old hotel needing considerable upgrade of facilities. AC does not work. Very basic and poor quality breakfast. Good part is very friendly staff and accommodating transport staff to downtown.
