Not bad, but not worth the price

Posted Sep 15, 2014
Pros: The check in clerk was nice, and it wasn't situated in a bad location.
Cons: the breakfast
Location: Rail is close and some shopping. Restaurant in walking distance
The first room I was given had not been cleaned yet-not good. I had to go back to the lobby and get another room; the staff was nice about it. Next room wasn't bad-just had to find the remote underneath the sheets. Area is not bad and it was close enough to a rail connection to get you in to town. The eggs and sausage in the breakfast were not good at all. The rest was okay. I have stayed at much better places for a much better price.

OK hotel for the price.

Posted Aug 21, 2014
Pros: Easy access right off highway. Clean rooms and friendly staff.
Cons: Key card system! Add more choices to breakfast bar.
Location: Again, easy access right off highway. Only about a 15 minute drive into Denver.
This is an older hotel but they have tried to update it some. Our room was clean and the staff was very nice. Our shower head leaked but the maintenance man fixed it promptly while we were out. Our biggest complaint was the key card system. Our keys NEVER once worked properly. Even after having them either re-keyed or completely replaced EVERY time we entered (or tried to enter) the room, they still didn't work on the first swipe. The front desk lady did say they were in the process of replacing the system. Thank goodness because it is very frustrating to not be able to get into your room after a long day of being out and about. The breakfast was just ok - not a lot of choices but, what was available, was decent. With all this being said, for the price, the hotel wasn't all that bad. If they truly do replace the key card system, I would consider staying here again.

Nice hotel for concert at Red Rocks Amphitheater.

Posted Jul 11, 2014
Pros: Pool, hot tub and continental breakfast.
Cons: Fix the key cards for the rooms.
Location: Red Rocks Amphitheater and Coors Brewery Tour
Front desk was courteous. Hotel was clean and featured an indoor pool and hot tub. Room was comfortable with refrigerator, microwave, iron and hair dryer. Typical continental breakfast that included eggs, bacon, sausage and waffles. Hotel is located near local restaurants, gas stations and off Hwy 6 to take you into Denver or Morrison. The only issue was the room keys had to be reset about 8 or 9 times. It seemed everyone was having the same issue as well.

Beds were a little springy and pillows too small

Posted Jul 11, 2014
Cons: Bigger pillows
Location: Not bad
Nice lady that takes care of the breakfast. Beds were uncomfortable and pillows were way to small. Very poor nights sleep. I am only writing now to write because this stupid thing will not accept my review unless I do.

Clean the sink drains

Posted Jul 1, 2014
Pros: Location and breakfast
Cons: Clean the sink drains
Location: Mountains
In room 200, anyway, the sink drain had to be shut and the windows open for the air to smell okay. Otherwise, moldy. Lovely breakfast, and nice linens. Large room and good location.

Room Assignment Problems

Posted Jun 26, 2014 on Hotels.com
On the positive side, it's within walking distance to a few restaurants. Otherwise, only fair. After we checked into our room (the second room actually, the first room's location being unacceptable), the front desk personnel assigned our room to other guests 3 more times, one of those times being after we had gone to bed. The first 2 times people actually came into the room, but the security lock prevented entry the third time. The front desk was very apologetic after the first time it happened, but after the second time the young man at the front desk made it seem like the confusion was our fault and implied they were doing us a favor by letting us stay in that room. The next morning when we inquired (with good humor) whether the problem had been resolved, they were rather grumpy about it and no longer apologetic. As for comfort, worst pillows ever! The bathroom door was somewhat warped and would not close, and the shower needed attention -- very low water flow (possible mineral buildup in shower head?). Obviously after they have some IT people deal with their computer issues, the room assignment problem will be resolved, but they could have been a little nicer about it.
