Close to Downtown

Posted Oct 20, 2014
The hotel is old, with carpet that is well-past its sell-by date and a dingy diner off the main lobby. But the place is clean and close to downtown - hard to beat for the price.

Borderline boutique hotel without boutique price

Posted Oct 19, 2014
Pros: Proximity to restaurants, pubs, local sites, friendly staff, unique design/decor.
Cons: Nice to have the shuttle/would be good to run a bit more often.
Location: Great location--I was even able to run all the way to Coors Field within 20 minutes, easy running.
When arriving at the hotel, I was pleasantly surprised it was not a typical Ramada Inn or other chain type hotel (big or small). It looks like the Ramada chain bought a small independent hotel/motel. The hotel was smaller and fit into the uptown cityscape. It is an updated older hotel that had enough unique features to set it apart from a typical chain hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would have liked the shuttle service to run more often and we did have a bit of a problem the last day when there was not enough room for everyone in the shuttle who had booked. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Bar service was a bit slow on food and variety of drinks (was encouraged to just order beer--settled on wine). The hotel was in a central location near a lot of different restaurants and pubs, close to the 16th Street Mall area, Capitol Hill, Fillmore Theater . . . I was there for a conference at the Colorado Convention Center and the Hyatt and it was very convenient. I would stay there again if in the area.

Nice no frills hotel in the city.

Posted Oct 18, 2014
Pros: Fun, no-frills, bar on-site. Cheap drinks that got a good local crowd. Totally unexpected.
Cons: Needs a little updating
Location: Voodoo Donuts! Ogden theater. Many, many bars!
Great location in Denver. Close to everywhere you want to be or a quick cab right away. Not a fancy hotel by any means and a little old. But it was clean much as you would expect for an older hotel.

GOOD LOCATION, OLDER HOTEL.

Posted Oct 15, 2014
Pros: LOCATION PLUS WAS HOST HOTEL FOR A CONFERENCE.
MOST OF VISIT WAS FINE. RECEIVED TO MUCH ATTITUDE FROM RECEPTION STAFF WHEN REQUESTING A HOTEL SHUTTLE RIDE. NOT OVERLY ACCOMIDATING. PARTIALLY BECAUSE NOT INFORMATION ABOUT SHUTTLE WAS PROVICED AT CHECK IN. IF YOU WANT TO GO ANYWHERE IT BETTER BE ON THE HOUR. NOT TO FLEXABLE.

i will not be returning. This is not the standard I have come to expect from Ramada. I felt unsafe, my room smelled like cigaret smoke, and my door looked like someone had tried to break in several times with a crow bar. It was also incredibly noisy.

Good stay for the price.

Posted Oct 13, 2014
Cons: Wifi connection
Except for the initial trouble checking in (the first staff didn't look enough for my reservation because the second staff was able to locate it) and the slow wifi connection everything else is good. The price is reasonable.

Place is an absolute dump!!!!!!

Posted Oct 13, 2014
Pros: Staff in the bar and the restaurant did a great job, considering the condition of the place.
Cons: PLace needs a complete remodel at least
3 stories and the elevator takes forever, elevator smells, hallway on third floor smells like cat urine. Pipes rattle and spit air when you turn them on, shower water temperature changes if another room turns on water. shuttle bus smells, dirty and wrecked, seats disgusting and dirty. Printer in the office center doesn't work, couldn't print boarding pass, front lobby filled with leaves. Not a good experience at all.

Ramada Downtown 10/8/14

Posted Oct 9, 2014
Pros: Location close to my meeting
Cons: This is obliviously an older facility and in need of upgrading. Room had only 1 available plug for electronic plug ins. Could not get on internet.
Location: Location was close to my morning meeting. Would probably be cautious if walking in area after dark.
Location is excellent. Parking ok, but very long walk to lobby and only elevator. room was confortable -- but nothing to write home about. Staff at front desk friendly and helpful. Room needs more outlets, only one plug available in bedroom. Nice breakfast avail, but price not included in room rate. Would recommend for one night stay if reason for travel was nearby, otherwise would look elsewhere. Lots of potential, but some money will have to be spent refurbishing.

Decent hotel close enough to convention center

Posted Oct 9, 2014
Pros: Staff friendliness. The cost was reasonable.
Cons: It needs some updating.
Location: Close enough to walk to convention center and downtown area though walk is a bit rough around the edges as you encounter a lot of homeless
I was there for company summit and the experience was good. The staff was very nice and helpful. I would recommend this hotel.
