Close to the bar. That's about it for the good.

The hotel is okey. The room was dirty and bathroom fixtures are run down. The place is cheap and close to a couple bars.

Good location, but facility in dis-repair

Posted Dec 8, 2014
Pros: Good central location, good price
Cons: Repair the facilities, upgrade the WiFi system
Location: There is a lot in walking distance, although there are a fair number of "sketchy" people at night.
I stayed here a few times a couple years ago, and the facility is in worse shape than it was then. The WiFi was a nightmare, kept dropping connection for my laptop, and my phone WiFi connection was so bad I gave up using it. The air conditioner/heater unit's thermostat was broken so the temperature was random. There was no key for the safe lock and I had to wait in line at the front desk to get one. The overall facility looks aged and in dis-repair. The only good thing is that it's a pretty central location for my purposes. Don't walk in the neighborhood at night however.

Building is showing its age.

Posted Dec 7, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff, convenient location, free Wi-Fi
Cons: Fix the electrical outlets, upgrade the TVs.
Location: There are a number of good restaurants nearby.
First the good news: The hotel staff is super friendly and efficient. Check-in was a snap. It is within 0.5 mile of Presbyterian/St. Luke's Hospital where my wife was having surgery. The hotel does have a hospital rate, but you have to ask the hotel directly. It is a few dollars less than Expedia's best rate. The free Wi-Fi worked great everywhere I tried it. The not-so-good news: The building is showing its age. The carpeting is worn on the stairwell and halls. The room did not have enough electrical outlets to plug both our cell phones in, except in the bathroom. One of the outlets was worn to the point where plugs would not stay plugged in. They just fell out. I was there three nights. The first night was quiet, but the second night there were a lot of doors banging and loud talking in the hallways that lasted until well past 11:00 pm. I had to turn the HVAC unit on high to drown out the noise. The third night was quieter. The small refrigerator was plugged into a switched outlet. If you didn't know that you could accidentally turn off the refrigerator. The TV in our room was a smallish older model. (I didn't really care as I rarely watch TV.) Ultimately the room was clean and comfortable. Just don't expect a four star experience. The in-house restaurant and bar is OK. Nothing terribly bad here, but the one night I ate dinner here it took a very long time for the food to arrive. Nice variety at the breakfast buffet, but there's a great place right across the street too.

Decent hotel but don't be fooled by the shuttle!

Posted Dec 1, 2014
Pros: Location, general room condition.
Cons: If you advertise a shuttle, be sure it's available!
Everything was fine with this hotel EXCEPT that the shuttle, which was one of the main reasons I booked the place, was not available. The front desk person said they were having "issues with their drivers." Huh?? So don't count on this feature being available.

Lot's of attractions near the hotel

Posted Nov 30, 2014
Pros: Room clenliness, location, lobby
Cons: elevators, slow and noisy.
Location: Center of Downtown Denver. Capitol building near by as well as 16th st. mall and The Ogden Theatre.
We stayed for one night, and it was great! convenient location near many attractions in the Downtown Denver area. the neighborhood of the hotel was a little sketch, but overall, very satisfied with our stay at this hotel.

Staff was very helpful and polite. One downside is the tight parking lot.

Nice hotel close to event we were participating in

Posted Nov 17, 2014
Pros: Location to event.
We stayed on a Friday night and the hotel was a little noisy with people coming back to the hotel late from their social events.

For $99 per night you get your money's worth.

Posted Nov 16, 2014
Pros: The location was fine. For $99 you get your money's worth.
Location: It's near the venues for bands.
The Kleenex dispenser was jammed so I had to shove a pen in to get the Kleenex out. One lamp over the beds was out. There was a bit of junk on the floor which indicates it was not as well vacuumed as it could have been. On the other hand, I had a great night's sleep. It was quiet and the room was dark. For $99 it was a good bargain.
