Not worth the money

Isolated location due to homelessness and sketchy neighborhood. Hotel personnel did not recommend that we walk in certain close areas surrounding the hotel. Elways resterauant was nice, but we would have preferred more options.

Awesome little get away for couples. Close to 16th street mall and has a top notch steak house in the lounge.

Pros: Spa and restaurant were great. Everything else was disappointing.
Cons: New management. This location is harming the Ritz-Carlton brand.
First room had no view, odor, and dirty carpets. It took the front desk too long to find us another room. 2nd room was ok, but not great. The valet/parking attendant was the rudest hotel employee I have ever encountered. We spent $1400 on one night in a room, plus spa dinner at the restaurant. This was the worst hotel value I have ever experienced.

So elegant, but not so quiet

Pros: The room amenities, the bed, the linens, room service.
Cons: Door slamming. There must be a mechanism to keep the doors from slamming.
Location: Just an OK location - on the eastern edge of Lodo. I was thinking it would be the quieter end, but sirens went past most of night.
Every inch of our room was elegant, clean and delicious. My daughter and I had dinner in the room, watched a movie, had tea (provided by hotel in room) and climbed into such a comfortable bed. Yet, right around midnight and again around 6am, the other guest room doors were slamming. It's a loud hotel for the price. And, sadly, the alarm clock next to my daughter's side of the bed starting ringing at 5:30am. Leftover from previous guest, I suppose. Not certain how one could resolve door slamming... Not worth the money until made quieter.

Great hotel, with excellent food

Pros: The excellent food and very courteous staff.
The Elway restaurant, located on the main floor, also handled the room service and was superb. The staff were extremely accommodating and friendly (especially the doormen). The courtesy vehicle for quick trips to the 16 ave. shopping area was a real treat.

We had a suite, room was worn but nice setup. No turn down service or requested USA Today in morning. Food was good from Elways.

The hotel was excellent, Service was very good from the moment we arrived at the valet parking until we left. Beautiful and very comfortable romos. Highly recommend it!

Christmas in Denver

Pros: Quality and attention to detail, especially the way the staff made us feel as guests (always remembered our names as we came and went to the hotel)
Cons: Nothing
Location: Close to ski country, scenic areas like Red Rocks, and downtown areas like the 16th Street Mall. Also, a nice city to run in, with river walkways.
We were visiting family in Denver for the holiday week and chose the Ritz as our home base. The hotel and staff were above excellent (I expect the Ritz to have high quality) and we were always treated as we were the only guests which made us feel much more at home. The restaurant management staff (especially Roger T) went out of their way to accommodate some special requests and that really made the week enjoyable. I expect to return to Denver several times in e next year and will stay at the Ritz each visit.
