“Good for me.”
Good free breakfast. Nice little store. Good pool. Spa had been down for three weeks as of my last stay.
“We picked a bad weekend.”
The night of our stay, the hotel was overrun with kids, parents, and coaches attending both a soccer tournament and a softball playoffs. Many of the kids were loud and some unruly--running up and down the corridors and knocking on everyone's doors. Eventually, they settled down; but it wasn't what we expected.
“Handy option in the middle of I-80 in Jersey”
It's a nice little hotel with reasonable rates for what you get. Free wireless and an okay breakfast buffet are nice perks, and the rooms themselves and the staff were also quite nice. I wish there were a breakfast-free option and then I'd just go up the street to the Hibernia Diner for breakfast (it's hard for a hotel buffet to compare to fresh-cooked, even though there's some hot food), but it's a solid choice, considerably better than the Best Western that's at the same exit.

We would definitely go back. Loved the pool area and the breakfast buffet was a great way to start the day! Staff very accomodating!

“A little disappointed”
Hotel was OK, but had a couple features that were below par compared with most Hampton Inns. The free breakfast had no fresh fruit, so the only option was a fruit salad of melon. That's pretty hard to eat on the run. The hotel had also eliminated snack machines, and replaced them with an overpriced concession stand next to the front desk. Example: $1.80 for a candy bar. Little annoyances like this make the hotel feel like it's cutting corners and trying to take advantage of business travelers, rather than serve them. Net: details matter.
