“Excellent- clean, comfortable and cheap”

Next to the County cricket ground the Days Hotel is a little bit out of the way and the entrance is easy to miss coming off the roundabout but thats the only downer! The room was clean, the bed huge and very comfortable, quiet, great shower, all the essentials covered. Even the view wasn't bad- looking out over the cricket ground. Wouldn't hesitate to book again next time I'm in Derby.

Hotel is easy to get to by road and rail, plenty of parking and close to the centre of town (without being in it)Neighbouring the sports ground adds to its advantages. Clean and tidy, just what is required for buniness traveller.

Lots of parking, friendly helpful staff, quick book in. About 10 mins walk from Derby centre but quite flat. Didn't try the breakfast but large supermarkets close by for provisions. Everything in room including tea, coffee making, iron and board. Room nice and clean with ample towels.

All in all, a good value. Excellent "english breakfast" buffet (added expense, can on some deals be included in the room price. Mine was not). Hotel restaurant is good but a little pricey for the fare. Nothing else within walking distance. Pub willing to serve drinks late into the night. Free lobby wifi internet actually usable, not slow and overloaded.

This hotel was great value and very well located for the City or for trips into Derbyshire. I would certainly recommend for family pleasure trips.

Unable to gain room entry.Key changed twice,then room changed.Very small portion of dinner,second helping offered,and accepted for partner,while mine was adequate.Room was not cleaned,or tea making/towels replaced,staff recompensed with free drink.Downstair communial toilet seat completely off hinges,unable to use,and no paper anyway.A very good selection of breakfast food,but it was cold on both mornings,yet staff managed to cope with no cook on second day with reduced menu due to bad weather.The staff made good any problems encountered and I cannot praise them enough for their attitude and politeness,even though they were under extra pressure and extra duties due to snow.Any small problems experienced was counteracted by the very efficient staff,well done to you all.
