“Lovely Hotel”

We had a great time in Derby and the Hampton was a perfect spot to be based. The rooms were clean and comfortable and shiny and new. Service from the hotel was good and breakfast was filling enough that you could skip lunch and not be starving. Derby itself is a bit of a strange place and the nearby pubs are not the most saloubrious but if you head into the centre of the city there are more classy pubs and restaurants. Easy to get to beautiful Derbyshire and the carpark wasn't too inconvenient. also a bargain!!

“A quick one night stand”

Very modern, new,and extremely comfortable overnight stay. The breakfast buffet was more than adequate if not extensive. Room was clean and very comfortable. Ideally located next to Bus terminal,one stop from Railway station. Highly recommended.

“Excellent value.”

This was an excellent base, very clean and extremely helpful staff. The only downside would be no car park - but the system of secure parking close by which they are able to use was extremely good. I will certainly use this hotel again and hopefully visit others. I hope they build more all over the country. Excellent value for money.

“Planning a further visit”

very comfy modern rooms. the hotel is very new so it was as it should be. We had a small difficulty with our lights which was sorted immediately. On arrival some one ,kindly.came with me to help with bags whilst my partner staid with the car in the loading bay. breakfast was great with lots of refills on busy Sunday morning

New, clean, nice place...right by the bus station. On the down side, parking is about 200m away in the Westfield multi-story car park.

“Noar parking”

The website said under Amenities (!) - 'self park'. As far as we are concerned we always self park at hotels (unlike the US where they sometimes park for you) so we were very surprised to find out that it was impossible to even drive up to the hotel let alone park. Parking was in the Westfield car park that was a good five minutes walk away crossing two roads and through a very busy bus station. As it was raining this was very inconvenient. The Expedia website didn't mention any of this or the fact that you would have to pay for this parking (albeit at a reduced rate through the hotel). Once you find the hotel the facilities are excellent and the staff very helpful.

“Superior standard hotel in Derby”

This hotel offers a good standard of accommodation. The bedrooms and all areas are modern and pleasant to be in. The room was clean and the general standard of cleanliness and condition of all areas was very good. Breakfast buffet was very good - wide selection of hot and cold options. The hotel is ideally located for the city centre and offers good views - as it is located right on the river bank. The discounted parking for the Westfield car park is a great idea - we paid £6 for 24 hours (less than half the normal price) Good value for the price too. We would definitely stay again and would recommend to others
