This charming High Peak pub has excellent ensuite accommodation, a cosy bar with a friendly atmosphere and good wholesome traditional, and not so traditional pub food. The pub serves real ales and guests are encouraged to enjoy a drink in the beautiful gardens to the rear of the property.The property remains popular with passing cyclists and there is a secure, lock up facility for bikes on site. There is also wireless internet access for guests throughout the hotel.

“Great Inn”

There's really nothing more to add... Great hotel in great location. The food of the PUB is not extraordinary, but that's really because I'm looking for something negative to say about it... :)

“A perfect weekend”

Ideal location for a weekend break with walking involved. Friendly staff, great food and top facilities. Will certainly be back in the near future.

“Pack Horse Inn: Recommended!”

Good food, good beer. Comfortable, clean, nicely decorated room. Lovely staff. Attractive location, 10 minutes walk from New Mills. Only minor criticism: 10.30am check out time felt a bit too early!

“Great stay at Pack Horse Inn”

We had a great stay at the Pack Horse Inn, excellent service throughout. The little extras included in the room (sweets, fresh milk, toiletries) were a lovely touch and made us feel really welcome. We forgot to book a table but were fitted in, just in time as the pub and restaurant were rammed which spoke volumes, the food was very good. Room very clean and comfortable. Great breakfast. Excellent value for money as room rate very reasonale. We would stay again and would recommend. Vikki and Paul. March 2012.
