Convenient Location

Posted Sep 23, 2014
Hotel bedroom extremely hot - no air conditioning. Shower not exactly powerful. A pint of beer ordered at the bar was off.

More modern than it looks

Posted Sep 15, 2014
Pros: Room facilities. Modern, great location, free parking.
Cons: They could get some double mattresses instead of pushing two singles together.
Location: Location was perfect and free hotel parking. Lots of places to eat nearby.
Nice hotel, spacious rooms and more modern than first impressions. Problem with the bed though as me and my partner booked a double bed and when we got there there was too single beds so we asked to be moved which they did pretty quickly but the room they moved us too was just two single beds pushed together with a double cover on it so Im not sure if they even have any double bed mattresses. Other than that, great location, clean bathroom and good room facilities.

A LOVELY ROOM FOR THE NIGHT

Posted Sep 14, 2014
Pros: Very clean and staff very nice.
I only stayed one night this time, but always found the hotel to be friendly and because I came by rail it right on my doorstep. When I come to Derby again, I will be using your hotel, once again. Ho and by the way the breakfast is excellent.

Quiet hotel near the railway station.

Posted Sep 9, 2014
Pros: The helpful staff; the location; the great food in the restaurant at dinner and breakfast; the text on the TV.
Cons: The toilet area in the bathroom was very cramped and a fat person might have difficulty using it.
Location: The hotel is close to the railway station. Derby County FC's ground is only 10 minutes' walk away and Derbyshire CCC's ground about 15 minutes'.
The room was quiet and comfortable and the staff helpful and pleasant. The location was ideal for me, just yards from the railway station. Booked a couple of months in advance, the hotel was good value for money.

one night stay

Posted Sep 4, 2014
Pros: A relaxed atmosphere and offered everything we needed
Cons: We were misled thinking that the breakfast was included in the price when I booked online but then I found that we had to pay extra for the breakfast
Location: excellent location for visiting the city centre attractions
It was a lovely hotel which was a very good location for walking to the city centre. I would recommend it to others.

Nice hotel in reasonable price

Posted Aug 26, 2014
Cons: 1) Instruction to use hotel key 2) Check bathroom for bad odour
Location: Alton tower 25 mile, 45-50 min travel time
It is nice hotel with ample parking, hotel staff was nice & helping. Room size was good. There was a bad odour in the bathroom which was rectified by providing me the air freshener. I was not instructed how to use the hotel room key earlier but later it was sorted out by hotel staff. It has reasonable hotel for the price tag and it is 45 min from Alton tower. So it's not bad & I would like to recommend this hotel to others unless they are not expecting 5* hotel comfort.

Derby hotel near pride park

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: Very happy with the staff who were very friendly and efficient.
Cons: The restaurant and menu choices and the quality of the food.
Location: Very close to Pride Park, the railway station, Westfields shopping centre and Derby City centre.
We stayed 2 nights, very comfortable. Did not have breakfast here as it was an expensive extra. Evening meals in restaurant very disappointing and expensive, only 6 people dined on Saturday night and there was no atmosphere. Most people staying in hotel went out to eat.

Very handy for train station

Posted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: Convenient location and very friendly staff. Well equipped rooms with flat screen TVs and ironing boards and irons.
Cons: For a three star hotel everything was fine.
Location: Only 5 minutes walk to mian shopping centre.
Three people stayed for two nights for a football game. Hotel is situated on the bus route from East Midlands airport, across the road from the main train station and only 5 minutes to main shopping centre and 10 minutes to Derby City Centre. Football stadium is 15 minute walk.
