“Excellent stay!!”
We read the reviews on this hotel before we went. So were expecting to have no towels or toiletries, and took our own just in case. We also read that the radiator would not be on and the room cold. Well, yes we did turn the radiator on, but after we did that the room was lovely and warm, there was shower gel/shampoo, soap etc and the towels were on the bed, ready for us to use. The room was great for us, and looks out onto the village road, at the front, rather than the main road at the back of the hotel. There was no noise from the pub below, although we chose the room with the 4 poster bed, which was 2 flights of stairs up. We cannot fault the staff, the food or any part of this hotel. A perfect location for walking. We parked the car up and walked all weekend. We opened a tab at the bar, thoroughly enjoyed the 'ambiance' and would definitely stay again. Only slight negative comment is that the bed is very soft. But some people may like that. Thanks to all staff
