“Excellent Customer Service”

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. First off, due to an emergency I had to switch the date of my stay and the hotel front desk attendant was very understanding and did so. Upon arrival I was treated a great attendant. I can't remember her name but I wish I would have. She was very friendly and helpful. She made me feel at home right away and helped me with all my concerns. If all their staff is this way then this hotel could be nothing but amazing. My room was great for the price and clean. The bed was comfortable but the pillows weren't the greatest. Overall, a great hotel

“"Not Impressed"”

This is bare bones hotel. Works great for the construction people staying in town all week. Our Refrigerator did not work after the first day and they never fixed it. Noise from interstate was high with windows open, but not so bad with them closed. Nosie from floor above just from them walking across the floor was annoying. Not very good TV reception or channel selections. Staff was friendly and rooms were clean. Although we are not handicap we were given a handicap room and the shower had low water pressure. Since we had a dog we were put on second floor instead of first floor, which is not convenient with a dog.

“Won"t go Back Urbandale”

we had no clean towels brought to room for 2nd nite of stay. Light burned out in bathroom called and told them said didn"t have someone tofixit. Drainsstunklikethey haven"t been cleanedforsometime. Was cheap but wasnot impressed by it,especialy when asked if they checked room in the morning, and she said maybe once a week they do shouldn"t have to run after supplies, Ipaid for the roomfor 3 people and we only had towels for one party and one nite,came backthe 2nd nite and all wet towels were still in the corner where we put them allwet yet, no wonder some of these places have bugs. Not impressed at all, for theservicewegot ir was still costly, won"t stay there again.

“Great home-away-from-home”

The staff was exceptional... friendly, helpful and knowledgeable!! The hotel provided all the amenities we needed for a pleasant a 5 day stay (following a week of traveling by motorcycle). The room was large and clean, with a small fully equiped kitchen. We had a good wi-fi connection and the laundry facility was clean and well maintained. The hotel is located close to the freeway for easy access to all the places we wanted to visit in Des Moines. Over all, we were favorably impressed, but the wonderful staff is a major reason we'd recommend this hotel to anyone who is visiting the Des Moines area.

“Good bed but musty smelling!”

We arrived tired after a long drive. When we arrived we found the clerk very helpful. As we approched the room I noticed what felt to me like a rotted floor board in the hallway and a musty/mildew smell. This carried over to the room which made the first impression poor but we were tired to take care of this and it was sleepable. Up early the next day and a great night sleep in a comfortable bed. We were both happy we were not stayin any longer than we did.

“Urbandale Extended Stay”

Hotel is in poor condition. No bathrooms in the lobby - thought that was odd. No breakfast or restaurant. I would rather have paid $15-$20 more and stayed in a much nicer place.
