Pros: Convenience, cleanliness, accommodations, exceptional staff
Staff courteous and helpful. Helped clear snow from car. Started it and warmed it for me.

All wonderful, except for the wafflemaker :)

It was all really wonderful. This is so minor, but here is the only place where there was room for improvement: the wafflemaker!! It wasn't working, and the staff who were responsible for it just shrugged their shoulders and didn't try to make it right. Overall, though, the hotel was great.

Nice hotel - just not as nice as other Hampton's

The hotel was just more run down than I was really expecting. The gym was really dark... weirdly dark. The desk guy was really great. But nothing was within walking distance, and it was right on the side of a highway. It was nice, just not really as nice as I was expecting... It just seemed old.

Comfortable hotel

Decided to stay at hotel night before early flight. This hotel is located directly across from the airport, but don't know if you could walk safely to the airport due to lack of sidewalk. But it's ok--the hotel has a shuttle! Friendly driver and right there when we needed it at 4:30 am. Perfect! Check in was a breeze. In fact, we were chosen as 'guest of the day' and received a goodie bag! Nice little treat to end our trip in Des Moines! All of the staff we encountered were helpful & friendly. Wake up call came as requested. Didn't participate in breakfast since we left so early. Bed was comfortable; bedding decent. Small room, but didn't need much. The hotel is a little dated, but clean. I would definitely return for the great service, comfort, and value.
