We attended the Iowa game at Wells Fargo. Very convenient to be able to walk inside the skyways to the arena.

The hotel's location was perfect for our group, which was attending the Shania Twain concert. We left the car with the valet and enjoyed a drink and appetizers in the bar area (which is very nice). The room was excellent for our group of three. The hotel shuttle promptly took us to Wells Fargo Arena. Unfortunately, when catching the shuttle back to the hotel after the concert, the shuttles were picking guests up down the block instead of the corner guests were told to stand at; then, the full shuttles drove past us guests standing at the correct corner. Thus we waited probably 30 additional minutes for shuttle service. Leaving the next day, our car was promptly brought by a valet; however, there seemed to be only one bellhop to grab our luggage from our room and take it downstairs. (You don't allow guests to use the luggage rack.) After waiting 30 minutes, we hauled our luggage downstairs. Those were the only snafus. I would definitely stay here again.

Toilet had an issue as soon as we checked in. Also, toilets are much too low for many adults, particularly those who are aging gracefully. Also, the bathroom sink leaked from the faucet handle.

Sink clogged sometime while I was out. Somehow they came into my room while I was out only to stuff the sink with nasty towels. Made me move in middle of night. No compensation.

The front desk host was preoccupied. She did greet me with a smile; however, the only thing she said to me was asking for a card for incidentals, told me I could order dinner until 11pm, and gave the locations to the elevator. she did not tell me what time check-out was, if there was a pool, if there was a fitness center on site, did not mention breakfast, or that I would have to have my room card for reentry after 12am, did not confirm check-in and out dates, etc. Check-in was pathetic, although I did witness other guest getting exceptional service at the front desk throughout me stay. The valet and room service staff was great.

The facilities were clean and well cared for, but the noise carries between rooms too much. I could hear the people in the next room flush their toilet, run their water, open and close their door etc. It would have been fine if there was a fan in the bathroom so I could have drown out the sound, but there was no fan.

This is a great hotel...very modern, room was very nice and bathroom was great. We were able to walk to the Downtown Farmer's Market (which was huge) and to the State Capitol (a bit of a hike but doable). Not much activity in downtown on the weekends so that was the only downside.

Great front desk
We had a great stay. My daughter spilled her entire cup of hot chocolate in the lobby by the valet entrance. The gal at the front desk was very kind and helped to comfort my upset and crying child. This happened at checkout on Friday, August 11 around 9:00 AM.

The staff were able to have our room changed to 2 queen beds. Much better sleeping. The 11th floor was cleaner with a ice machine that worked. Staff were GREAT both days. Breakfast was great!!

When the hotel is full and there are groups in-house traveling to their guest rooms at the same time the demand can create a slow down for a period. When you're the one standing there it seems even longer.

I liked the showers instead of tubs. Tubs are overrated and usually a problem. Unless the tubs are helpful for those with children, they really aren't useful, and having a larger shower instead is much nicer. I really like having a complimentary breakfast option. I don't like a big meal, so paying for the buffet was a bit much. But getting a simple roll, or piece of toast would be nice.

Peggy, thank you for letting us know of your room type preferences. During our recent rooms renovation we converted a number of guest rooms from tubs to showers still leaving tubs in some of our rooms as there are guests who still prefer a tub.
