TOUGH TIME FOR A LATE BOOKING

Posted Aug 15, 2014
I made my hotel arrangements a week in advance of my stay but was unaware that the Junior Olympics were scheduled during this period. Therefore, I was relegated to accepting one of two remaining rooms in the entire area. It was a smoking room and I am a non-smoker. I was staying for only three nights and the manager booked me at the end of the smoking corridor. While not pleasant smelling, the room was thoroughly cleaned each day; beakfast was ample and the staff pleasant. I would return to a non-smoking room.

We slept so well!

Posted Aug 13, 2014
Pros: Great location and great price.
Cons: We asked for more towels to be left and did not recieve them, but ended up there were towel at the pool.
Location: There was a bar next door, Perkins, Wendy's, and McDonalds. It was close to anything you might want, for us that was easy access to the fair.
The hotel was in a good location with plenty of resturants close and easy to get on I-80 to go to the fair. After a long day at the fair we were able to sleep in a nice comfortable bed making this stay well worth the money. We will be back next year and I would recommend this to anyone.

Bad shower

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Much much better drains and higher shower heads
Location: only went to the state fair
The drain in the shower ran so slow I was standing in water before I could pull the plug to make it a shower, I had to stop three times and let the tub drain before I could finish my shower. The shower head was so low, even though I am only 5'7" tall I had trouble rinsing the shampoo out of my hair. The grid over the drain appeared to have rust around it. The floor between the tub and stool appeared to be "rotted".

Nice hotel but the gym lacked a little bit. Also the bathtub drain in our room was stopped up.

Good hotel close to lots of restaurants

Posted Aug 3, 2014
Pros: Free continental breakfast. The pool was great. And the fact that it was right off of the expressway was a plus.
Cons: Needs to have an elevator and a mini refrigerator in the room.
Location: There are many good restaurants and there is shopping nearby. There is also a casino close by.
We were in town to cheer on my granddaughter who participated in the Jr. Olympics. I booked this last minute so I really wasn't sure about this hotel. It turned out to be good. Close to restaurants, shopping and close to where we needed to be.

HORRIBLE GUEST SERVICE

Posted Apr 7, 2014
Pros: location
Cons: guest services
At 9:30 p.m. there were girls from the Dirt Diamond Diva softball team running up and down the hallways. I called the front desk and asked them to address the issue as my children had ball tournaments the next morning and needed their rest. The front desk attendant stated she would "see what she could do." About 10 minutes later the running and squealing began again. I walked upstairs and videoed the girls running around unattended and went to the front desk. The attendant stated that she has already spoken to them. I expressed once again that we were paying for a place to SLEEP which we could not do as the parents of the Dirt Diamond Diva softball team were sitting in the breakfast area drinking and partying rather than attending to their daughters. When I addressed the manager the next morning he would not give me eye contact or comment back about my concerns. I found him to be VERY rude he has no customer service skills. My softball squad of over 30 girls will find other accommodations in the future which is unfortunate as we play in the area 3 weekends out of the month until July. This facility and surrounding businesses have lost out on quite a bit of money. ALSO; the "hot" breakfast consisted of biscuits and gravy; no meat, waffles or any other food item most hotels offer with their hot breakfast.
