    Pocket Guide: Alberta

Canada is famous for its beautiful wilderness with towering mountains, cascading waterfalls and green cedar forests that stretch as far as the eye can see. Within Canada, Alberta is a province that is gifted with kilometers of this stunning landscape. When you choose Alberta hotels, you will be plunged into a world like you may never have known before, one that offers you many outdoor experiences and other fantastic excursions. Keep all of these options in mind when you book rooms in hotels in Alberta so that you can choose hotels near the hot spots and popular sites.

You could start by looking for cheap hotel deals in Alberta that are located within the Banff National Park, one of Canada's treasures. Situated against the backdrop of the Canadian Rocky Mountains, Banff is a nature preserve that offers incredible vistas, hiking trails, steams, rivers and much more. The Alberta hotel deals in the mountains are particularly popular because there is nothing quite like waking up to the sun coming up over a wooded valley as it sweeps down below you, washed in gold from the early morning light.

If you love history and science, you could choose Alberta hotel packages in the Canadian Badlands. As the name implies, this area is rather wild and untamed. Among hoodoo rock formations, you will find the fossils and bones of the dinosaurs that once roamed the Earth, preserved for all time. You can stop by some of the top centers in the country for fossils to view presentations and read the best literature by those who have been working in the field for years. Reservations are needed for some events, but much of what the Badlands has to offer is just a raw landscape for exploration.

Canada has hosted the Winter Olympics for a reason, and Alberta has some of the most impressive skiing and snowboarding parks in the world. A cheap Alberta hotel deal at one of these parks gives you special access to the slopes. There are often discount rates in the low season, but you also have to keep in mind that the prices should not be all that drive your decision; after all, the high season has the best powder. Whether you are a first-time skier who just wants to learn the ropes or an experienced snowboarder who wants to take to the backcountry trails, you will have fun for hours on end.

    "Great hotel"
I stayed hear for 4 nights while my girlfriend and I were snowboarding at Lake Louise. Bus pickup was right next-door, storage lockers downstairs were like full sized high-school lockers without a bottom so It could fit two boards and all our gear. The Ricky's downstairs was awesome and we had breakfast in the morning and drinks at night right in there. Fridge in our room fit two 6 packs, some Rockstars and some take-out with room to spare. And there's a nice big TV for watching BBC Canada on once you're tired as hell from skiing/boarding and walking around town all day.

    "Nice hotel"
Great hotel, enjoyed the complimentry breakfast and the staff were very nice. My only complaint would be that our room was noisy due to the proximity to the street. There is a bar across the street which we could hear the music till about 1 am. Early the moring all we could hear was traffic, garbage trucks and Bobcats. I would suggest staying in one of the interrior rooms if you want quiet. Overall the location is very handy for shopping, dining and parking.

    "Great Stay"
Convenient downtown location, clean & quiet room, but the best part was the restaurant that offered Gluten Free options. The chef came out to speak to me personally about my dietary issues, and brought me my food so she could explain how it was prepared. I was impressed and would highly recommend the Delta Bow Valley.

"Downtown Edmonton and close to the Royal Alexander"
This was my first stay in this hotel. I checked in after 8:00 PM )2 rooms) and I believe that the clerk was not of much help to tell us what we had available: restaurants, bar, etc. I knew about the swimming pool 'cause this was the main reason we chose this hotel. We got more information and more from the older fellow who was acting as the bell boy. He took us to our room and help us out. I checked out in the morning and the clerk (a female) did an excellent job to offer us the service provided by the hotel and did a great PR job which I gave thanks to.
