    "good for the price"
We received a discount by booking flight and hotel on Expedia. The hotel has some shortcomings, but we were satisfied with the value in relation to the price we paid. Desk clerk was rude at check in. Restaurant over priced. Near a bad location. But security is good with guard at the gate and on the grounds 24/7. Free upgrade to beach view. Rooms were clean and maid service was good. View from the room was excellent. AC in room is adequate but could use improved circulation into bathrooms and sleeping area. It blows too hard directly on the desk area for someone sitting there. I was sweating in the bathroom and on the bed and cold at the desk.

"For the price, a great place. "
For the past 2 years I have stayed here off-season while my sail boat is in a nearby boatyard. The staff is truly excellent, open, friendly and helpful- I think that makes a huge difference. Food is varied and very good. The rooms, while not luxury are fine. The beach is perfect. Overall, I really like the place.

    "Perfect Honeymoon"
We stayed in one of the Gaugin Cottages. The amount of private space you have is amazing, perfect for a honeymoon! The plunge pool was exceptionally nice to have. Everything was clean and updated. The beach and main pool were only about a minute away, which was very convenient. The beaches were kept clean and simply beautiful. The food was awesome, some of the best meals we have ever had. The bars served premium spirits and you never had to wait long for a drink. The resort had so many free activities to offer as well, like cooking classes and guided hikes. We were honestly blown away by our stay at Galley Bay. We will definitely be returning.

"Lovely hotel close to the beach "
We had a lovely stay and the property was pretty clean although you need to be prepared to hike up steps to your room and some stones are breaking off on the steps. It may be hard for some people with stability challenges. Of course we were aware that this property is on a small mountain side. One of the two restaurants is at top of property, so it is a little workout to get to. You can ask for staff to take you up in the shuttle. Only one shuttle and a golf cart available. We were there after sail week so it was slow business wise. I would hope they have more shuttles available during busier weeks. I would not recommend eating at the fore mentioned restaurant Carmicheals. We had a party of 11 and only two enjoyed their meals ( steak/ribs). Over priced and took way to long to get food. It is however a beautiful location to sit and have a cocktail. The other restaurant Sugar is much better and service is good. The staff was friendly enough, but not overly. The beach is beautiful and there are some restaurants very close by to eat at for lunch and dinner. The hotel breakfast was pretty average in taste and they had quite a bit to offer.

    "Beautiful, relaxing vacation"
Stayed at Cocobay in April, having been referred by wife's colleague who loved it. Greatly enjoyed our stay. Warmly greeted by concierge as we exited taxi, given rum punches in lobby, which has great view of bay. Introduced to GM before being escorted to cottage, Sugar Apple. Bungalow was terrific: KS bed looking out over a private plunge pool to the bay. No TV, which is fine. Mini fridge and coffeemaker. Bathroom had separate door onto very private deck, with tiled shower at end so one can shower open to the air. Room very clean and comfortable, with ceiling fan & AC. Two beaches: 1 was steps down from the pool bar, another a short walk. Water was warm and clear, with decent snorkeling at the near beach. We used the same sun hut every day, with a great view. Kayak and small sailboat for guest use Breakfast & lunch was ample and good. Dinner varied with meat and fish options, usually very good. No problem with bugs. Though we brought repellent, never used it. They fog for mosquitos around cocktail hour, every couple of days. The noise and fumes bothered my wife the 1st time, but when I asked about how often it happens, GM instructed the staff to bypass our bungalow and we never troubled by it again. Staff consistently friendly and helpful, ranging from polite to very warm. Several beautiful eternity-type pools which we seldom used except for cooling off, preferring the beach. Very beautiful, relaxing, and romantic spot. Loved CCB and would return.
