British Columbia Hotel & Resort Travel Guide

British Columbia has become a mecca in recent years for both nature lovers and those who enjoy spending time in a sophisticated urban environment that features vibrant nightlife and numerous opportunities for cultural experiences. British Columbia's main city, Vancouver, has become one of the top spots for travelers in recent years. Situated by the sea, Vancouver enjoys a mild climate, clean air and close proximity to some of the world's best seafood. Hotels in British Columbia are frequently full of those who make reservations during salmon and halibut season specifically to enjoy expertly prepared local cuisine. Another special attribute of Vancouver is that it's a prime whale-watching location and excellent destination for those who enjoy deep sea fishing.

Although British Columbia hotels are mainly used by vacationers during the summer months, winter sports enthusiasts frequently take advantage of cheap hotel deals in British Columbia for snowboarding and skiing. Elk and moose hunters also visit British Columbia wilderness areas for the purpose of hunting during the fall. In the late spring, when the blossoms and vegetation at Victoria's Butchart Gardens are in their finest forms, rooms in British Columbia hotels in close proximity to the gardens are impossible to book. If you are interested in seeing the Butchart Gardens when they are at their absolute best, you should remember to make reservations well in advance of your planned stay.

If you are looking for British Columbia hotel packages that are in more remote parts of the province, you should explore the possibility of taking a vacation in the northern coastal community of Prince Rupert. It's quieter than the urban environments of Vancouver and Victoria, and you will be more likely to find better prices on British Columbia hotel deals in Prince Rupert. It is also an excellent choice for those who love to fish for salmon. Discount rates are generally available in Prince Rupert lodging establishments during the winter months. If you are feeling especially adventurous, you can take a nine-hour ferry ride from Prince Rupert to the small city of Ketchikan in the southeastern part of the state of Alaska.

British Columbia is a huge province with many things to see and do. To make certain that you get the right cheap British Columbia hotel deal for your needs as well as for those of your traveling companions, you should check with Expedia before you book a stay at any particular place.

The hotel was very accommodating with my late check in to reserve my king bed room. I was also given a great room with a view at s higher floor as I requested. I also called the front desk for a :30 min late check out from 12 to 12:30 and the person I spoke to strictly said the it could not be more that. She was a little rough around the edges. When we left our baggage downstairs I had a heavy bag on my shoulder and 2 guys looking at me while we were asking to leave our bags for a few hours before having to go to airport - they did not offer to take the bag until I dropped it down on the ground while one guy wrote the ticket for the 4 bags and the other guy who just stood there and did nothing until after we walked away and I looked back and then both moved the bags onto a cart and wheeled them away to the elevator.

    "Centrally located"
Very helpful staff, the Moda has attached : a gourmet restaurant, a bar , a sports bar and a liquor store. All very convenient. Centrally located to Hop On Hop Off tour buses. The room was disappointing, with no comfortable chairs and an odd placement for toilet paper. Get it before you sit down. Good bed. Slow elevators. Overpriced with no included breakfast.

"A friendly hotel with the personal touch"
We were both impressed with this first experience with Accent Inns. The location was ideal and easy to find with plenty of free parking. The room was clean and well appointed ; there was even a Buddhist 'Bible' to supplement Gideon's ! There was a touch of humour to the friendly notices and I formation posted around the room and the beds were comfortable. Front office staff were friendly and helpful though the morning complimentary breakfast was a bit of a 'bunfight' ! Though maybe not part of the Hotel We also enjoyed our experience at the next door 'BIN 4' Restuarant where we had Dinner. A bit noisy perhaps but that was a sign of a busy and popular establishment. A whole gaggle of Serving girls who were friendly, efficient and attractive too ! Overall our stay was most enjoyable and helped to cement a delightful weekend. We will certainly return when we next need to stay overnight in Victoria and we'll certainly recommend it to our friends.

    "Great Location and Unique Property"
I was travelling with my Mother and my 6 year old twin boys for a weekend holiday. My initial impression was very positive as the location of the property is ideal for sight seeing in Victoria on foot. The check-in process was not very efficient, however the desk staff was aware and gave my boys a childrens' package with the signature rubber ducks. This was a nice touch. During the week they offer a childrens' duck program for the pond that fronts the property. There are numerous ducklings in the ponds which were entertaining for my boys to watch. The property itself has large, well appointed rooms. The bathtub is full sized (not a low edged one). The balconies off the rooms provide a variety of great views, towards the Inner Harbour or the Parliament buildings. The room was kept very well but we did not notice some items under the bed that had not been removed from a previous stay - most people wouldn't look under the beds - we were hunting for one of the boys' toys. The hotel was helpful arranging transport back to the airport and the bell desk was excellent in assisting my mother, getting her water to help take a pill.
