    Pocket Guide: Czech Republic

This small-central European country has a fascinating history, a wealth of architectural treasures, beautiful forests, and mountains. Historic Czech Republic hotels offer visitors an opportunity to experience Old World European charm, and many of the towns and cities throughout the country have picturesque areas often known as the "old town" section that appear unchanged after hundreds of years.

The country's capital, Prague, is a beautifully preserved city. Visitors won't want to miss the many sights of the historic central part of the city. From the statues lining the Charles Bridge to the medieval astronomical clock tower in Old Town Square to Prague Castle rising high above the city, much of Prague's tourist area resembles nothing so much as a city from a fairy tale. It's worth researching prices for cheap hotel deals in Czech Republic and rooms within the city center. Rates are likely to be lower in winter. Prague is beautiful in the snow, and the city won't be jammed with other tourists who prefer the warmer temperatures.

Outside of Prague, a number of other charming cities and towns are worth a visit. Ceský Krumlov is not unlike a miniature Prague with a castle second only to Prague's in size and a picturesque Old Town. Karlovy Vary is a popular resort and spa town. One of the most unusual tourist attractions in the Czech Republic is the ossuary at Kutna Hora, a church built entirely out of bones. Czech Republic hotel deals in such areas are likely to offer even better rates than in Prague and are worth seeking out for savings. Alternately, many of these attractions are day trips from Prague, and a cheap Czech Republic hotel deal within the city of Prague itself may also be the best way to see the surrounding towns and countryside.

The country is also a popular skiing destination, and Czech Republic hotel packages may be available in these regions. The top areas for skiing enthusiasts include the Krkonose Mountains along the Polish border and the town of Nové Mesto na Morave in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. Expedia can help visitors book reservations and check to see if an area hotel is offering a special discount. With Expedia, visitors may find good prices that are not openly advertised by many hotels in Czech Republic.

Flew in for start of study abroad. The hotel location is perfect as was not meeting group til next day at the airport. Easy access to and from the terminal. The staff was very helpful for a person not speaking or reading Czech. Highly recommend this hotel.

    "Almost perfect experience"
This hotel is a gem with only a few minor things about which to quibble. I had a mini-suite of two (admittedly small) rooms on the ground floor with windows on to a courtyard which was used primarily as a parking area -- though certainly it was quieter than overlooking a street. The suite was immaculate, the bed was comfortable, the wi-fi worked well, the bathroom was not cramped, etc. A minor downside was that the curtains didn't fully block out light, a situation that probably would have been more irritating during the summer or sunnier days than when I visited in January. Of special mention are two things: 1) the quality of the breakfast (fantastic), and 2) the friendliness and thoughtfulness of the staff. The location near the city center makes it perfect for walking almost anywhere.

    "Hotel Kings Court Prague"
Booked hotel kings Court as part of my husbands 40th birthday celebrations having stayed previously January 2015. Booked 4 nights Executive Suite with chauffeur transfer from Airport. Reception and concierge once more were most professional and helpful. Our room was on the second floor, it was huge, same design as executive rooms only bigger. Beautiful bed, choice of pillows, spa bath, lovely coffeemachine, complimentary l'octaine beauty products. A birthday cake and champagne from the hotel management ready for our arrival was a very thoughtful gesture along with a personalised birthday wish letter. Breakfasts are extensive and offer every conceivable choice including a frozen yogurt. The executive lounge is value for money with a great choice of refreshments and snacks daily until 8pm. The spa are with pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam and treatments is a heavenly haven and smells of essential oils. The gym is well equipt. All sights are a couple of minutes walk, the stunning gun powder tower is a 1 minute walk away with old town square 5 minutes stroll. Charles Bridge 20 minutes. Prague is my favourite City ahead of New York and London with Hotel Kings Court my favourite hotel. I will definitely be back next year or maybe before.
