Maldives Hotel & Resort Travel Guide

Friendly locals, white sands, and beautiful waters are just a few of the features that make the Maldives a top destination in many tourists' minds. Whether you plan to go diving, lounge on the beach, or just have breakfast on the balcony of one of the relaxing hotels in the Maldives, you are in for a great time.

The wonderful beaches of the Maldives make for great water sports. Swimming, snorkeling, and diving are quite popular. Other sports that tourists enjoy include surfing, parasailing, kayaking, and motoring about on jet-skis. Whatever your beach-related desire, you can satisfy it in the Maldives' beautiful waters.

The rainy seasons for the Maldives are July to August and November to March. Most of the rest of the year the weather is pleasant and tropical. Even during winter months, the Maldives is still comfortable and many tourists love to visit around the winter holidays to get away from the cold weather elsewhere.

Many consider the months between May and November to be the prime time to visit. During this time, the clouds can help cool the temperature down a bit, but it can also be a bit on the rainy side. This is often considered the best time to visit if you enjoy diving or snorkeling. The water tends to be a bit clearer than it even normally is, which can enhance water sport activities.

When looking for cheap hotel deals in the Maldives, you will want to book and make reservations in advance so that you can find rooms at special discount rates and prices. This will give you the opportunity to access the best Maldives hotel deals and Maldives hotel packages, even at top Maldives hotels that would normally be significantly more expensive. The secret to finding a great cheap Maldives hotel deal is to book early.

The Maldives is a beautiful, intimate, and romantic destination. As a result, many honeymooning couples find the magic of the islands to help them build memories they will remember for the rest of their lives. Whether it's a dinner under the stars, a swim in the clear waters, or a sunset boat trip, Maldives is definitely a place for lovers. For those that prefer a little excitement and adventure, the happy couple can get away to a nearby uninhabited island and have it all to themselves for the whole day.

    "Fun Filled Paradise"
Rooms - Spacious, ours had a couple of showers, one in the cubicle and other in the open. House keeping is super efficient, they clean the room twice a day mostly when you are out for breakfast and dinner. Restaurants : Kurumba spoils you with choice - Italian, Middle Eastern, Indian, Japanese, Sea Food, Far East..... these are not just cuisines but these are all different restaurants + a cafe and a buffet restaurant. As an Indian I can vouch that the Indian Restaurant - Mahal serves very authentic Indian curries and kababs. Breakfast is mostly repetitive but tastes good so no complains. Most outstanding feature in breakfast is variety of Tea - Jasmine, Masala, Moroccan Mint, Lemon, English Breakfast, Fruit & Flower, Green, Cylon, Earl Grey. They even have loose tea leaves and you can brew your own tea. (personally I hate tea bags)

"Nice set up of the rooms"
the staff who met us, upon arrival are nice, BUT NO "SMILES" no enthusiasm, you can only count the real ones, just a reminder when you work in a service industry, first impression is very important, upon check out, our bags was not collected in our room (no big deal) but the front desk staff we spoke to has no reaction with the problem, it was only the supervisor who apologised. Nice hotel, staff just needs to polish their service skills, especially when dealing with customers....

    "What a beautiful place!"
We stayed in a private beach villa twenty feet from the Indian Ocean. The water was gorgeous, the weather was magnificent and the staff at the LUX were incredible. I was very impressed. The stay was pricey, but well worth the money.
