New York Hotels

We booked an executive king room and were very pleased with it. We were on the top (17th) floor which was great, however we did still get some street noise because we couldn't get a tight seal when closing the windows but this was only a minor inconvenience. The bed was really comfortable, the bathroom was well appointed. All around this was a good value hotel. The service from staff was also excellent whenever we needed them. We didn't eat in the hotel, so can't comment on that. Finally, the location of the hotel was probably the best benefit with 200m walk to Broadway and the same again to Times Square and Rockefeller Plaza. Excellent!

An old hotel in a great location added to our New York experience Below average breakfast, should not be sold as something special Great value for money

We stayed in May 2013 in a one-bed suite which consisted of two huge rooms - living room and bedroom plus small bathroom and kitchenette - all spotlessly clean and the bed was really comfortable. We had booked this on a special price from Expedia in January so had great accommodation at comparitively low cost. We were on the 14th floor at the rear so heard no street noise at night and there was very little noise from neighbouring rooms either which I was pleased about. The location was terrific - a short walk from Central Park in direction, Times Square in another, 5th Avenue shops and Bloomingdales on the East side all within a few minutes walk. The Morton Williams supermarket across the road was terrific and we went to Angelo's Pizzeria next door three times - I really liked their food and it was so handy after spending all day sightseeing.

My family stayed in the hotel twice. The hotel is located in proximity to the Got Island, had all appliances we needed (fridge, microwave, coffee maker). We also enjoyed meal in the hotel restaurant. Overall, rooms were clean, personnel was friendly. We definitely chose this hotel for next trip.

we stayed at this htel onenight and enjoyed it very much> Hope ro make it a 3 night stay next year.Hotel is located 4 blocks from where we had to be. The Denny;s located attatched to it was very good for both dinner and breakfast the next morning.Hope to be there again next year.

very impressed, we can't believe how inexpensive it was for a very nice hotel

The Hyatt is a nice hotel and the quality of the staff was excellent. There is a lot going on at the hotel but the service staff seem to really care about helping out the customers. Check in was easy to do and they have self servicing kiosks which speed up the check in time. The pool kind of sucked it was freezing for an indoor pool and very small, also the pool bottom was made of glass so it was insanely slippery. Also they don't have any parking so you have to pay $15 to park across the street overnight. Or $20 for valet service for them to drive your car across the street for you. I personally don't like other people driving my car so I did it myself but you think for how expensive the rooms are they could have their own parking lot with the price included. However overall experience was a plus and the staff are the #1 reason.
