    Pocket Guide: New Zealand

Composed of a pair of islands off the southern coast of Australia, New Zealand is a land of towering mountains, shimmering blue water, and a combination of natural beauty and enchanting cities. You can utilize New Zealand hotels on either the North or the South Island, and your experience will be unique on each one. If this is your first time booking hotels in New Zealand and traveling across this lush landscape, you may want to tour both islands to come away with a true feel for the adventurous, vibrant culture.

The first place to look for cheap hotel deals in New Zealand is near the now permanent set of Hobbiton, made famous by Peter Jackson's brilliant movies of J.R.R Tolkien's Middle Earth, which gives you a chance to walk along the same paths and streets as Bilbo, Frodo, Gandalf, and all of your favorite Tolkien characters. Everything in Hobbiton has been preserved exactly as it looked in the movies, from the round doors set into underground homes to the dirt pathways leading down to trees with branches swaying in the wind. You'll feel like you stepped right into the Shire.

You will also discover that New Zealand is a country where no adventure is too daunting. You can find New Zealand hotel deals near the Franz Josef glacier, which you can climb with a guide. Other New Zealand hotel packages will put you near the place where bungee jumping was born over the Kawarau Gorge; you could also jump over Queenstown, where the nighttime jumps will take your breath away as you hurdle toward the flickering lights of the city spread out below you. With these extreme adventures, New Zealand will give you a special story that you can tell for years to come.

If you just want beautiful views and the best scenic vistas for taking pictures, there are many charming little towns scattered around the feet of the majestic, snow-capped mountains. Take Kaikoura, for example, with its winding streets and smooth-stone beaches. In Kaikoura, you could also book the top tourist attraction, which is a whale watching tour. Once you get discount rates on your rooms and hotel reservations, the prices for the tour will fit easily within your budget, meaning that the cheap New Zealand hotel deal will have opened up new doors for experiences that are unlike any that you can find elsewhere in the world.

Excellent other than a couple of things; - All of the blinds are see-through so there is a lack of privacy, all neighbours can see into your apartment. - Hooks needed on back of bathroom door.

    "Beautiful hotel on the lake."
My partner and myself stayed at the Kawarau Hotel for 9 nights, and we loved every second of it. The staff are just incredible, always so friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in had a small kitchen (with a stove, oven, microwave, fridge etc.) and living area which was lovely. The hotel also offers a free shuttle bus into town and back to the Hilton (approx. 15 minutes) every hour or two, which we definitely made the most of! The Kawarau Village has so many things going for it. A cosy pub, with great drinks, food and the most accommodating staff. A QBook office which we used to book transfers to the ski fields and activities in Queenstown. A Browns Ski Shop, who were more than happy to hold our hire gear for our "days off", with no charge. Nothing was ever a hassle at Kawarau Hotel; we had a ball!

    "Excellent location, rooms very comfortable"
If you're visiting Wellington for Craft beer the Amora is within walking distance of Hashigo Zake, Fork & Brewer, Goldings Free Dive and LBQ. Location wise it suited us. The staff were friendly and efficient. The rooms have been modernised since I last stayed with classy art work, new TVs and refreshed bed decor. The room was quiet and had a lovely view. The bathrooms were stocked with very nice complimentary toiletries. A couple more channels would have been nice to chill out to after a busy night.
