Quebec Hotel & Resort Travel Guide

Quebec is where picture-perfect cafes line the sidewalks, towering forests surround pristine pastures, and bronze church spires glimmer in the sun. A combination of rugged landscapes, majestic mountain ranges, history-soaked city quarters, and cosmopolitan sophistication, Quebec's diversity makes it a vibrant and exciting travel destination.

The bilingual city of Montreal is surprisingly affordable, and there are many cheap hotel deals in Quebec that will put you in rooms at the center of the city at low rates. The combination of affordability, cosmopolitan dynamism, and a certain joie de vivre inspired by the French results in an irresistible city marked by swank eateries, a buzzing Quartier Latin, and world-class museums.

In the province's other major metropolis, Quebec City, visitors can stay in Quebec hotels atop the alluring Cape Diamond. The city evokes a sense of high adventure, exploration, and military history, but it is also known for its inventive cuisine, well-preserved Old Town, and Francophone spirit.

Hotels in Quebec City are most crowded during the summer, when festivals fill the parks and special museum exhibitions highlight the area's art, history, and culture. In autumn and spring, you can find the best cheap hotel deals in Quebec City, but prices tend to go up around the Winter Festival. If you can find a special discount during the festival, book it because the experience is not to be missed!

To explore the more rugged side of the province, take advantage of the Quebec hotel deals in the Eastern Townships. Southeast of Montreal, the area is known for its crisp, blue lakes, verdant rolling hills, and opportunities for outdoor adventure. Many Quebec hotel packages include activities there, including fishing and swimming in the summer, walking in the fall foliage, skiing at Mont Orford during winter, and preparing maple syrup in the spring.

If you love skiing, use a top cheap Quebec hotel deal to explore Les Laurentides. The natural paradise is especially crowded during the Christmas holidays, and reservations are recommended if you want to stay in the charming resort villages. The rocky hills will challenge even the most seasoned skiers, but there is plenty to enjoy in the area without skis, including five-star restaurants, unique boutiques, and lovely parks.

    "Vacation downtown Montreal"
The room was very spacious and comfortable. Also, everything was clean and well kept. A mini fridge would have been nice. The condition of the indoor pool is questionable and the hotel could use a little bit of a refreshed decor. It is well located, close to some great shopping and a lot of good restaurants. Subway stations are widely available anywhere in downtown Montreal which makes it a breeze to get pretty much anywhere you want to go! My biggest deception was that they found an expensive bottle of wine that I just purchased and forgot it in the lobby. The next day when I ask if they found it, they said they put in the trash and that is a policy !!!!!!!

"Well located for entertainment - poor housekeeping"
The hotel is well located - connects to the Metro and Place des Arts through a shopping center. It's a big hotel and could be very good with better management supervision. Our room was presented to us in what can only be said to be dirty conditions. While management did make an effort to fix it, for us, it was too little and too late. In fairness, management did make some efforts to make amends and that's appreciated. However, the room as presented was simply appalling. The hotel also wasn't equipped to adequately serve all who were attending the ample and nice buffet - The food was good and the staff was pretty much overwhelmed. The Jazz Festival is a big event. Given the proximity of the hotel to the venue, it should have been ready for it.

    "Very central location."
Stayed in a queen room. Had requested a king through Expedia but apparently the request went into the hotel for a queen?! Disappointed about that. Our room was #1346 and was not in a great location as we could hear the whooshing of air flow from the elevator shafts all night. There are 8 of them. I had never experienced that before. It is an older hotel but it has been somewhat updated. The location is perfect.

    "Good location, average hotel"
The hotel was pretty ok. Windows facing another building with hardly any day light entering the room. One twenty a night seemed a little high for what you would expect out of it. The location is great though, right in the old city. It is not a bad option when one is spending most of the time outside the hotel.

"Great boutique hotel in a nice location!"
Old Quebec is a wonderful, charming historic city and this hotel fits right in. The location is great as everything is walking distance. The rooms are nicely renovated, spacious but still offer that old world flare that we were looking for. The staff was very friendly and we enjoyed the pub's outdoor atmosphere after a day of walking the city. If you are looking for a long European style weekend away Old Quebec City is it.
