On our 5 day visit to Salt Lake City, Utah, my wife and I selected this hotel, mostly because of the location. On our final night there, I pondered some of the negative reviews I had read before the trip. I found no foundation for any of them.
If you are looking for a luxury hotel, go to Vegas or Cancun . But, if you are looking for a quiet, comfortable, clean, well located (best in town) hotel, with a friendly, helpful staff, at a reasonable price, THIS IS IT.
Some of the things we especially enjoyed about this hotel was: When we arrived in Salt Lake City, we called the hotel and they promptly sent the shuttle for us. The driver "George", gave us a narrative tour and answered our questions on the eight mile trip from the airport.
Location, Location, Location, half block from LDS Library, Across the street from the free Trax Train service (free down town), we purchased a morning pass($2.50 ea) and visited some of the outlying communities.
Perhaps the best part, for us was, Mormon Square, next block over, and we are not Mormon. The Temple, The Tabernacle , The History Center and the gardens, so beautiful, no words can adequately describe them. We even went on walks at night in the confines of the square, Awesome!
Okay, the down side, if there is one. The restaurant was less than stellar, It was very good, but not outstanding. I heard someone describe it as "like Dennys". The food was good, clean and reasonably priced. The service was good.
