West Virginia Hotels

When I first arrived the parking area was clean and grass was freshly cut. I always look for things like that at places of business. I went inside to confirm my reservation and I was greeted by all the staff, even the one that greeted me at the door.They all had on name tags so I knew them all by name . They even knew my name, that is a plus. The staff got my luggage after I paid and escorted me to my room. The room smelled clean and fresh . Everything was neatly stocked , even drinks , and all the information about the motel. I loved my view it was awesome ! Oh yeah lets not forget the hot tub and pool area. The rest is for me to keep to myself ...lol

Staff welcoming and genuinely friendly, checked us in to get the paperwork done ahead of time, even though room wasn't available, to fit our schedule. Personable and interested toward our little dog. Helpful with questions of sites and events. Good breakfast included-more than the usual bagels, cereals, and donuts. A call to check in with us and an invitation to warm baked cookies in the afternoon as we were settling in. Will definitely stay there when we go back to Charleston.

The hotel is aged but in good repair and clean. Unlike other hotel smoking rooms, this room did not smell like an ashtray and was very clean. The staff are helpful and tend to patrons needs.

This is a cheap hotel not a hilton. That being said you do get free parking, a pretty decent breakfast breakfast as far as continental goes, the staff is friendly, the rooms are pretty spacious, and they will go out of their way if theres something wrong. Again this isn't a 5pretty star luxery suite, but it is good for the price and what you get. Plus it's a very good location.

I chose this hotel at the last minute while visiting a friend at WVU. I booked the room on my phone and was checking in within 15 minutes. The room had a bedroom with very comfortable beds, and a second room with kitchenette and living room style area, including desk. Having two televisions was very nice, as well as the ability to shut the door to the bedroom. Incredible value!

Stayed at this hotel when we went to Bill Maher's show. The staff was great, valet parking was worth the extra $10.00. Room was clean and comfortable. We ate at the restaurant hotel and the meal was good. Breakfast buffet was well worth the money. All in all a good experience. We would stay here again.

Excellent help from reception staff, housekeeping friendly, rooms attended to daily. I was delightfully pleased that the staff thought that your safety in every aspect was of the utmost importance to them.

As a 2 star hotel, Howard Johnson provided my family a very clean and comfortable environment. HJ is much much better than the 3 star hotel we stayed in another city, that's why I would like to recommend it to others.
