Overpriced for condition of hotel

Posted Sep 28, 2014
Cons: Everything!!!
Location: Was there for a convention so did not have time to check out the surroundings
Hotel is very run-down. Needs a complete remodel. Carpets were threadbare. Towels in room were threadbare. There was no clock in the room and a wake up call was placed but the hotel did not call. Missed first meeting. Food was overpriced. Small container of water in room was $5.00. Temperature controls not accurate and hard to control comfort in room. Wi-Fi was bad, worked intermittently. Groups of kids (with parents and chaperones) were booked in the hotel and the kids were running, playing hockey, and very loud in the halls late at night (10 to midnight) and banging things in the rooms on either side of our room. No discipline by the hotel for this type of group.

Only convenient because conference was there

Pros: The only good part of the hotel was the staff. From the front desk to our wonderful server in Archimedes Jessica they were all good.
Cons: Cleaning staff needs training.
Location: Great shopping mall across the parking lot.
Room was terrible, dirty, funny smell. My IPad charger also went missing from my room within 2 hours of leaving the room and coming back.

Dissapointing

First off I booked a room with 2 queen beds and a rollaway bed through expedia. On arrival we were given a room with 2 double beds and were told a rollaway could not be provided as it was a fire hazard. After seeing how small the beds were we refused to accept the room and were moved to a deluxe room and told the rollaway would be provided at no cost. On arriving at that room we again had 2 double beds rather than queen beds but decided we could manage. Then we didn't get the rollaway until almost 11:30pm at which time we had given up and crammed all 5 of us into 2 beds. Needless to say we had already called down for the rollaway bed repeatedly. the climate control didn't work so it was really cold in that room. Surfaces did not appear properly cleaned. Carpet likewise was not clean. to add insult to injury we were billed for the rollaway at checkout. Overall poor experience and would not recommend this hotel for families.

Pros: Close to my event, close to food
Cons: Supervisors can do their job, follow up on the help
Location: In town for the henry ford
The most important thing to my wife, a clean bathroom. Mold in the tile walls around the tub. No floor mat, one almost empty roll of T.P. , had to call for more, only two towels and they were thin. On the Sat. night of our stay it was really busy, a good bit of partying going on out side, good weather for Midnight out side. The problem was the out side of the main entrance was trashed the next morning , solo cups, beer cans, snacks every were. Trash cans over flowing, trashed in the flower beds with no flowers in them, trash on the ground. This will happen. The problem was at 10:00 AM no one still had not cleaned it up. Managers walking around, Valet standing at their doing nothing, but it was nobodys job to clean the MAIN entrance.

Everything you need is located here!

The rooms were clean, comfortable with plenty of room. The hotel had a restaurant that was extremely accommodating, a coffee shop , a lounge bar, pool and a business center. There is a gift shop and in addition it is located within proximity of a shopping center. We really enjoyed our stay !

Staff was friendly and helpful. Our car broke down and we had to stay an extra night and they gave us best rate they could and helped us find phone numbers we needed. Extremly nice for price. Very clean. Will definately stay at an Adoba again. For the price it is the best hotel you could get.

quiet, comfortable room

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: large but quiet overall.
Cons: watch out for those large number of guests arriving
Location: shopping, "museums" were handy
took a while to check in due to large number of guests that were arriving. seems they were unprepared at the front desk for this. managers apologized for this and made amends to those waiting in line offering extras to be included during their stay.
