Modern hotel close to mall, dinner, and highway

Posted Oct 22, 2014
Pros: Modern feel, clean, great location.
Cons: If I had to pick, the lobby furniture was shabby- worn out and flat.
Location: Mall across the street with many restaurants. Close to highway.
Staff was very pleasant! Check in was quick and had chocolate dipped strawberries on the counter. Close to highway making it easy 15 min drive to Detroit. Stayed this past weekend for the Detroit Marathon- great choice.

Much better than you would expect

Posted Oct 22, 2014
Pros: Everything. It's one of the best hotels I've been too... Very nice, chic, spacious...
Cons: Doesn't need improvement, however, it's a huge hotel, so if you don't care for walking, you might want to request a room closet to the elevator.
Location: Right across parking lot to Mall. Also there is the GM Building, if you're interested in taking a tour.
This was a really nice hotel. The rooms were the biggest I've seen in a long time. I had 2 Queen Beds and you actually could have put another bed in the room. I also appreciated the fact that there was a sick outside of the bathroom, so when you have 2+ folks in the same room, you don't have to wait for the other person to finish using the bathroom if you just want to something that does not require the main bathroom. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great. It's a huge hotel, so if you don't care for walking, you might want to request a room closet to the elevator.

Beautiful outside, not as nice inside

Posted Oct 21, 2014
Pros: Nice restaurant and bar
Cons: The rooms could only go down to 68 degrees which is way too warm for my comfort
Location: Mall
The hotel looks on the outside and even in the lobby, but the rooms looked like they needed some TLC (especially the bathroom).

Great staff, dated hotel rooms

Posted Oct 20, 2014
Pros: Front desk staff
Cons: more security to regulate room noise
Location: shopping mall and restaurants right by hotel
I would have given them a 4/5, but since the level of night time noise was unreal I had to give them a 3 overall. This hotel is huge and needs more security to regulate parties in rooms and kids running the halls. I went to be at 9:30pm for the Detriot marathon and hardly slept. I can say their front desk staff is amazing. We were stuck in the parking garage for two hours after the marathon and they allowed us to check out at 2pm without any additional charges.

Weekend stay in Dearborn

Posted Oct 19, 2014
Pros: Price and location.
Cons: The hotel is in need of improved housekeeping and some remodeling.
Location: The Henry Ford Museum / Deerfield Village, Ford Corporate headquarters.
We took the kids to Greenfield Village and stayed at this hotel because it as nearby. What appears to have been a grand hotel at one time is showing it's age. We seen many stains and signs of wear and tear in the hallways and in the room. The kids enjoyed the indoor pool but did not like the hotel restaurant (we didn't either). I could say that I expected more however the Executive Room was only $129 which made it a deal regardless of the condition problems. I would stay there again but eat at one of the many restaurants nearby.

The hotel needs more maintenance. We stayed here two years ago and it was cleaner.

Tired hotel in need of an update

Posted Oct 14, 2014
This is a former Hyatt hotel that was recently taken over by Adoba. The hotel is clean enough, and the lobby area is nice, but the rooms are very dated. The landscaping outside is overgrown and full of weeds. During our weekend stay, there was a group of people staying on our floor that were partying in the hallway at 2 am. We called the front desk to report the problem, but it still went on for another 30 minutes. Not the quiet, relaxing stay we were hoping for. The hotel claims to be an "ecohotel", but there was no evidence of any planet-saving measures other than a newspaper recycling bin in the hallway. Overall, a very "meh" experience.

Great hotel, and staff. Located next to a mall and freeway.
