Good location for ford and DetroitPosted Mar 9, 2014
Hotel felt like a ghost ship.. No character, no people, no bar!! This hotel is too big to be a "quirky boutique"...

Very large hotel, great get away!Posted Mar 2, 2014
This hotel was a nice get-away for me and my boyfriend. We enjoyed our stay very much. There is only 2 things that i could say were negative about the stay. First, I booked using Expedia when we were on our way to the hotel. They said it would take about 20 mins. to receive the information and we were fine with waiting a few extra minutes if necessary. But it took over an hour from the time i booked the hotel until they received the information. We were waiting in the lobby for a half hour. The only other negative about our stay was very strange. I am sure this is very rare, and i'm not even sure how it got there. When I laid down in our king size bed I was shocked to find a tack! That's right a tack!! I notified the front desk at our checkout and I am sure that does not occur often. This hotel has a great view and I would recommend staying here.

Nice hotel near Henry FordPosted Feb 21, 2014
Pros: Nice lobby. Cool elevators
Cons: The room was too hot. Couldn't lower the thermostat. The hotel restaurant was way overpriced, and the hostess was snobby.
Location: You've got to go to the Henry Ford!
We enjoyed our stay, but watch out for the restaurant prices!

Pros: The location, and the rooms.
Location: Don't really know, really didn't have time to look around plus the weather was very, very bad.
I had a great experience at this hotel nothing bad to say.

Loved itPosted Feb 19, 2014
The 4 nights I stayed there it was great. Besides the kids running up and down the halls, it was great. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel, close to Henry Ford MuseumPosted Feb 18, 2014
Pros: The friendly staff and exceptional service
Cons: The small details...frayed bathroom rug, outer shower curtain with stains (probably shampoo or soap), complimentary water instead of expensive "boxed"
Location: Henry Ford Museum, Ford Factory Tour, IMAX theater, Antigue stores, close to Detroit
The stay was nice because the staff were exceptionally nice and very upbeat. The building is large and very unique in it's layout with the elevators located in the center of the hotel and are glass cars that run on the outside of the central tower. The center of the hotel is completely open. The facility is appears to be going for a high end chic but it's age is starting to show in small ways. The water from the neighbor's show backed up into our sinks and the outlet in the outer sink area didn't work. The bath rug was frayed around the edges and the outer shower curtain had stains on it. When we brought the plumbing and electrical issue to the attention of the front desk they were super nice and quickly moved us to another room and gave us complimentary breakfast vouchers. There were free beverages every evening because they hadn't received their liquor license yet and couldn't sell the alcohol, they gave everyone coupons for drinks at check-in. The hotel has a really nice pool and hot tub area. The restaurant on-site has great food and wonderful service. You can't beat the food at the breakfast buffet, it was the best buffet I have experienced in a hotel. The small negative details were handled so smoothly that they weren't issues at all. I would definitely stay here again. The staff were great and it 's close to a lot of different places. Don't drink the "boxed" water unless you want $5.00 added to your bill.

Disappointing experiencePosted Feb 17, 2014
Pros: location is great
Cons: more staff, updated and accurate website in terms of amenities
Location: countless shopping, restaurants and events near downtown Detroit
Upon check in on a Saturday afternoon they had two people only at the check in desk, one whom was in training. They didn't have my reservation so after waiting 25 minutes in line to get to a clerk we waited another 20 for the reservation to be "found". There is no cocktail lounge as shown in the photos, they have no liquor license. Towels thin and cheap.
